"Xu Kai I can sit on chair; I don't have to sit on your lap." Cheng Xiao said as she was sitting on his lap in the dining table.
Xu Kai had become more possessive than before, he would not let her out of sight. The only time she was alone was back in the office when she was in the designing department but as soon as they got home, them he would be stuck to her like glue.
"We are going to be separated for a while, so I need to spend my time with you." Xu Kai replied.
"You talk as if I am dying." Cheng Xiao said.
"Don't ever joke about that, no one can take you away from me, not even the God of death." Xu Kai said seriously.
The arm around her tightened and she knew that the mood has changed.
"I was just joking." Cheng Xiao said trying to laugh it off.
"Do not ever make a joke like that." Xu Kai said with a warning and Cheng Xiao nodded.
"Let us go." Xu Kai said after they finished their breakfast.
Cheng Xiao grabbed her bag and followed him. As they sat in the car in silence, Xu Kai pulled her closer to him and told the driver to start driving. Cheng Xioa leaned on his shoulder hoping to lighten his mood. Ever since she had made that joke Xu Kai had been quiet.
"I am sorry." Cheng Xiao whispered.
"What for?" Xu Kai asked.
"For that joke." Cheng Xiao replied.
"I am not upset because of it, it just made me realise that I would not know what to do if I would lose you." Xu Kai explained.
"I think I will follow you in death." Xu Kai added.
"Xu Kai!" She called out his name.
"Let's drop this topic." Xu Kai said.
Cheng Xiao lifted her head to look at him, she leaned and kissed his cheeck.
"Don't start what you can't finish." Xu Kai said looking down at her.
"Does your mind always have to drift that way?" Cheng Xiao asked.
"When you are near me, I can't seem to think straight. You drive me to the point of insanity." Xu Kai said whispering the last part in her ear and gently bit it.
The driver coughed a bit and Cheng Xiao realized that they were not alone in the car and gently pushed him aside.
"Xu Kai!" Cheng Xiao said her face turning red.
"We have arrived." The driver said stopping a block from the office.
Cheng Xiao prepared to leave but was pulled into a kiss by Xu Kai. When he was satisfied, he let her go. Cheng Xiao could not wait to rush to get out of the car.
