Mo Yuxin glanced down at her and smiled. "Let them."
"Arrogant," Su Yubing said, though her tone was fond.
Mo Yuxin drew her close enough that their sleeves brushed together, then bent her head and kissed her right there on the road with the harbor city gates only a short distance ahead. It was not a brief peck either. It was a soft, unhurried kiss with too much affection in it for anyone to mistake it for anything else. The sailors nearby made a huge show of looking away while clearly not looking away. One dock worker coughed like he had swallowed a fish bone. Su Yubing's cheeks went pink, but she kissed Mo Yuxin back anyway, because after months on the road together, there was no point pretending they were too shy for this kind of thing. Mo Yuxin's hand slid up to hold the back of her neck for a second, careful and warm, and when they finally separated, Su Yubing was smiling so much it looked like she might glow.
