"How can you misunderstand my kindness?" Reverse Hair Knot smiled.
"I heard that the Jewel of the Four Souls has appeared." In the original legend, a hair demon known as Yura, often called Yura of the Reverse Hair, emerged from a red comb that had absorbed the resentment of the dead by combing their hair. Her true form was the comb itself, which conferred on her near-immortality and control over razor-sharp, manipulative hair.
This enigmatic comb demon seeks the Jewel of the Four Souls, a marble-sized artifact containing four spiritual essences: Courage (Aramitama), Friendship (Nigimitama), Wisdom (Kushimitama), and Love (Sakimitama). When purified, the Jewel glows soft pink; if corrupted, it turns a dark, black-violet hue. Its power can dramatically enhance a demon's strength, speed, or even alter their form if shards are embedded InuYasha Fandom.
Yura craves the Jewel to feed her demonic hunger. To obtain it, she orchestrates chaos among monsters, waiting for Inuyasha and Kagome to be defeated or distracted so she can reclaim her comb and then vanish.
"A lot of monsters have already set off to fight, and I happened to pass by you, so I came to see you," she mused.
"Would you be so kind?" she added, voice dripping with expectation.
At the mention of the Jewel, the Centipede Mistress's once-pitch-black pupils flickered scarlet, a sign of the circulating, corrupting energy she possesses. Mistress Centipede, straddling the line between demon and what little remains of human, craves the Jewel to cement her power and halt her slow decay.
"That village in the distance seems to be called G.D.I. now, believe it or not. And you should have heard of Sebastian's name."
Sebastian's reputation spreads even among demons: his domain is untouchable. Legend says he renamed the obscure village to G.D.I., marking his authority.
Yura, face twisting in disgust, fled the Centipede Mistress's lair. The temptress watched her go, hunger replacing suspicion in her eyes. No force can override her greed for the Jewel of Four Souls.
"G.D.I..." she hissed, stretching a feral smile across the cave's darkness.
Outside, in the valley, she sprinted and leapt onto a great tree, voice low, "Let those fools die first, then I'll strike. No force on earth can stop thousands of monsters!"
For her, beauty and power are one, and the jewel offers both
"When I attain it, my hair will be the world's most resplendent." She dropped soundlessly into the night, shadows swallowing her.
She knows Sebastian's strength. He's rumored to be the only one who could challenge Death itself. Provoking him would be ruin. So she devised chaos: unleash monsters as bait, rouse chaos, then snatch victory in the midst of confusion.
Having heard that Sebastian possesses the complete Jewel, she infiltrated his territory long ago. She sensed the strange aura of his land and fled at the first sight of his might. Even a single subordinate of his could fell the god of death. Finding herself weaker, she spread rumors to lure others and herself, to benefit from the ensuing fray. Before long, a massive host of monsters gathered, each hoping to claim the Jewel.
Back in Sebastian's estate, Miyatsu and Miroku knelt before him.
"No. Rise." Sebastian said calmly, and they seated themselves at the dining table.
"Today is your first day, and you're not used to guarding a gate. How do your legs feel?" He asked with a slight smile, watching them.
"Legs are a little numb," Miroku confessed.
"I'm not tired!" Miyatsu protested, but Sebastian cut him off with a smile. "How many monsters approached today?"
Sebastian anticipated infiltration by these creatures, but he remained patient, certain they posed no real threat... and could even be useful.
Miyatsu fumbled with numbers: "One, two..."
"Five!" Miroku called out confidently, he had memorized them, foreseeing thye test.
