Hello Everyone, a new work has been started called "Having a Father Like Me Is Truly Embarrassing" on my account. Please check it out.

"That's right." Sesshomaru gave a faint nod, his expression as calm and dispassionate as ever. As ever, it was obtained from a young girl. She should already be on her way here."

His golden eyes gleamed coldly as he continued, "I intend to use the Jewel of Four Souls to forge a weapon, one that will replace Tenseiga."

"You want to forge a weapon out of the Jewel of Four Souls?" Inuyasha immediately grasped Sesshomaru's intention. If one truly wished to defeat Sebastian, then perhaps only the Jewel of Four Souls possessed such overwhelming, unnatural power.

In the past, Inuyasha himself had been deeply obsessed with the jewel, driven by a restless desire to claim it. But now, things were different. Even if Sesshomaru held the Jewel of Four Souls, Inuyasha no longer believed that alone would make him worthy of challenging Sebastian.

However, there was something else that concerned him far more: how Sesshomaru had obtained the jewel in the first place. According to him, it came from a young girl. Yet he had heard that the Jewel of Four Souls had already been sent to G.D.I.

He knew well that the relationship between the Demon Slayer Village and G.D.I. was distant at best. Still, that distance existed only because of the villagers' assumptions; assumptions, Sebastian himself had never shown the slightest interest in.

If Sesshomaru had taken the jewel from a girl, then she was most likely from the Demon Slayer Village. But why would she be traveling with something so dangerous?

"You didn't… snatch the Jewel of Four Souls, did you?"

"No. I merely came across a group of demons hunting a girl. I intervened and ended it and took it."

"You really are trouble, you know that?" Inuyasha let out a heavy sigh.

Because of earlier rumors, demons had already stirred unrest. Now, if word spread that the Jewel of Four Souls was truly here, it would undoubtedly attract countless monsters, igniting yet another storm of bloodshed. This had to be reported to Sebastian immediately.

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes slightly as he observed Inuyasha. There was something so strange, strange. Inuyasha no longer showed the same burning desire for the jewel as before. Once, he had longed for its power before even stepping into the human world. But now… that obsession had clearly faded.

"Where is the Jewel of Four Souls?"

The air was thick with the nauseating stench of blood. The scent of rotting corpses mingled with the acrid smell of burning flesh, suffocating everything around. Throughout the streets of the Demon Slayer Village, mutilated bodies of demons lay scattered in grotesque heaps, none of them intact.

At that moment, Kaguya stood amidst the carnage, her fingers wrapped tightly around the throat of a silver-haired elder. With the slightest motion, she could crush it completely. Her voice was cold, utterly devoid of emotion.

"Where is it?"

"I… I don't know…" The old shrine keeper struggled in her grasp, her face twisted in agony, yet her eyes remained resolute, refusing to yield.

Her gaze did not waver. Without another word, she tightened his grip.

Crack. The sound of bones snapping echoed faintly as the woman's body fell limp.

Kaguya released her and slowly turned her gaze toward the remaining survivors. Even if he slaughtered the entire village, it would not matter. As long as she uncovered the whereabouts of the Jewel, nothing else held value.

"Don't kill me! Please, don't kill me! The Jewel of Four Souls has been sent to G.D.I.!"

Kaguya hovered silently in the air, her figure draped in a flowing purple celestial robe. But in the next instant, upon hearing the answer she sought, she casually waved her hand. A sharp arc of force sliced through the air; the man's head was severed instantly, blood erupting like a fountain.

"G.D.I.… Sebastian's territory, is it?"

She gently brushed the sleeve of her garment. Crimson patterns spread across it like living vines, writhing outward before erupting into deadly tendrils that tore through every remaining life in the village. Not a single survivor remained.

Since emerging from her domain, the name she had heard most often was Sebastian. At the time, she had no reason to challenge him; there had been no conflict of interest. But now… things were different. The Jewel of Four Souls is at the G.D.I. base, and that made it impossible to ignore.

"Ayame, come, sit and eat with us." Inside a wooden house by the sea, a warm light flickered gently. The table was filled with carefully prepared dishes, their aromas rich and inviting.

Sebastian sat at the head, with Kikyō and Tsubaki beside him. Ayame moved gracefully as she brought the final dishes to the table.

"Your cooking keeps getting better and better," Sebastian said with a faint smile, glancing over the spread.

"A-All of it… I learned from Sister Ram!" Ayame's cheeks flushed as she quickly lowered her head, flustered by the praise.

"Don't just stand there; sit down!" Tsubaki beckoned her over with a grin. As Ayame hesitated before sitting, Tsubaki lewdly, mischievously, said, "From now on, you can call me Mistress. And the one across from you, just call her Senior Sister."

Kikyō immediately frowned, her brows knitting together. together, "Don't listen to her nonsense. I'm the Mistress, and she's just making things up!"

The moment the words left her mouth, Kikyō froze. A deep blush spread across her face, and she quickly lowered her head, though her eyes secretly flickered toward Sebastian.

"Hahaha!" Tsubaki burst into laughter, completely unable to hold it in. She leaned against Sebastian's shoulder, clearly amused by Kikyō's reaction.

"I… who should I call Mistress?" Ayame looked completely lost, her eyes darting between the two.

Human customs were still confusing to her; she didn't fully understand what "Mistress" meant, nor why Tsubaki found this situation so entertaining.

"I am!"

"Me!"

Kikyō and Tsubaki pointed at themselves at the exact same time, neither willing to back down. Fortunately, Ram and Adenela weren't present; otherwise, the entire house might not have survived the argument.

"Is… being Mistress really that important?" Ayame asked softly, her face full of innocent confusion.

Before long, the meal came to an end. Afterward, Tsubaki explained the meaning of "Mistress" to Ayame.

The moment she understood, Ayame's face turned bright red. In a panic, she hurriedly ran back to her room, only to bump into the door more than once before finally slipping inside. She nearly tripped in her haste.

"…So this is G.D.I." On the outskirts of the city, after days of searching, Kaguya finally arrived.

Before her stood a vast city cloaked in thick, shifting fog, its silhouette both grand and ominous. A faint smile appeared on her lips. She could feel it, the unmistakable presence of the Jewel of Four Souls.

"At last… I've found it." Her eyes gleamed with anticipation. "Once I obtain it… just how far will my power ascend?"

With that thought, her figure blurred and she surged forward, plunging straight into the mist.
