"At the time I'd already extracted critical intelligence during the interrogation. But then he became enraged and suddenly attacked me. I made a mistake and ended up killing him."
After Guan Xiao finished speaking and sat down, Qiu Tu, who sat across from Huang Shangzong, followed up, "Director Guan shouldn't be blamed for this."
"The incident happened abruptly. And... Scarface was clearly bent on dying anyway."
Although Huang Shangzong might lack finesse in politics and judgment, the fact that he managed to rise to this point means he's no simple figure.
Qiu Tu and Guan Xiao's performance in tandem, with such confidence, made him realize that Qiu Tu didn't come tonight just for this matter.
So after a brief moment of thought, he didn't press the issue, but instead asked, "So, what critical intelligence did you extract in the interrogation?"
Qiu Tu replied, his expression serious, "We've fallen into a trap. If we don't resolve it, there could be huge trouble."
