"You've already got white hair!" Jian Xi pointed at his head.
Nan Mufeng suddenly understood, smiled, and slid his chair over to her. "My hair's gone white early for you. You'll have to make it up to me for the rest of your life."
He rested his hands on her thighs, warmth and strength seeping through the fabric.
She was sitting on the desk, he on the chair. The height difference put his head level with her chest.
Jian Xi reached out to toy with the white hairs on his head. "You're still very young. I'll pluck them out for you, so they don't grow more and more."
She gave a little tug, and a white hair came out in her fingers.
Nan Mufeng's brows twitched.
"Did that hurt a lot?" Jian Xi asked.
"Like a little bug bite. Doesn't hurt." Nan Mufeng caught her hand. "Don't pull them. Now that you're back, they'll disappear on their own."
