The construction site was filthy and dusty. After inspecting just a small section, Joanna gave up and took Cassie back to the city.
"Mommy, do you think Nan Mufeng is really going to give us the mining rights?" Cassie sat obediently at Joanna's side.
"He will." Joanna's eyes were half closed as she calculated the project schedule in her head.
At the current pace of construction, it would take some time to go deep into the mountain. Staying in Yuancheng was boring anyway; might as well go to Jiangcheng for a few days and check on her grandson?
Thinking of Little Pumpkin, a smile tugged at Joanna's lips. She opened her eyes. "Cassie, it's October. You should go back to Ice Country."
Cassie hadn't achieved her goal yet; how could she be willing to leave? She said, "Mommy, I'm not going back. Winter in Yuancheng is way gentler than in Ice Country. I want to spend the winter here."
"You're scheduled to sing at the Ice and Snow Festival. You're representing the Royalty."
