"Yes, I can use healing magic," I said, continuing to treat his wound.

"They were all killed. Only you and I are left," I said without any emotion.
A sorrowful look appeared on his face, but he quickly brushed it off. He stood up swiftly and strapped his sword to his back.
He laughed and said, (Death is our path, my friend.)
Death is our path.
Those words shocked and amazed me. Shard had summarized my entire life with those small words.
Everything in my life revolves around death. Everything is tied to one thing only.
Death.
Shard and I completed the last day in the forest. We moved quickly until we reached the outside. We didn't encounter any strong monsters.
Thus, we exited the forest safely and found ourselves before towering walls, so high they seemed to have no end.
In the middle, there was a massive gate guarded by many soldiers.
Many people were moving towards that gate; hundreds of people were outside the city.
Shard and I started heading towards the gates.
Suddenly, I asked Shard, why are all these people trying to reach Sky City?
He was explaining the truth about this city to me, and I was astonished by what he said. How could a city separate from the kingdom and form its own force?
How did King Jaber allow this, and why didn't they join the war?
But Shard continued quickly.
I was even more amazed by this information.
As we approached the gate, Shard told me to stay close and not move.
When we neared the soldiers, Shard revealed his blue aura, causing many people to step away from him.
The soldiers looked at him with respect.
Not every day do you see someone this young who has reached such power.
When one of the soldiers looked at me, he asked, (Who is this?)
Shard looked at him and said,
The soldier opened a small gate for us, and we entered Sky City.
