Chapter 327 - Like a Lone Wolf

Oliver rested on the soft cushions of the couch and looked at his parents, feeling warm emotions flood into his heart. It had been three months since he last saw his parents—three months since he was forced away from home and forced to endure life on that damned island.

And as he looked at them, he noticed that they looked like they hadn't changed much at all since then. Their smiles and loving gaze towards him were still the same as ever, and this brought forth even more feelings of nostalgia within him.

Nostalgia that stirred up the hidden emotions within his chest, emotions that had been locked away deep within his soul ever since he started killing to protect himself on the island.

The mother who pampered and doted on him. And the father who constantly watched over him, supporting him no matter what. They were both his most beloved people. The ones closest to him in the whole world.

Seeing them like this again after so long gave Oliver a renewed sense of purpose. A reason to keep striving for something better in life, something more meaningful than just mere survival.

And that was to cherish this bond, to protect their smiles, and to enjoy these wonderful times forever with them.

Mia noticed that Oliver was spacing out a bit and sat on his lap. She smiled warmly and cupped his face before kissing his lips again.

"What's on your mind, baby? Talk to Mommy, and I'll listen."

Oliver smiled and wrapped his arms around her.

"Well..." He trailed off before pausing for a few seconds. Not knowing where to start. Or how to explain it properly. But in the end, he figured the best thing to do was just hide the details about that island. "I just can't believe I'm back home. And seeing you again after being away for so long... I'm just... so happy."

He gave Mia a warm, genuine smile, one that he hadn't shown in a long, long time. Not even when he was playing around with Lauren earlier. This one felt more genuine and pure.

Mia could sense the happiness coming off of Oliver and returned his smile with her own bright one. She then gave him another light peck on the lips. "I know the feeling, darling. It's exactly what I've been thinking ever since you showed up. I feel like a part of me that's been missing for a long time has filled up."

Adam watched his wife and son interact and couldn't help but feel glad too. He was always a family man, after all. Nothing made him happier than seeing his loved ones enjoying each other's presence.

"So tell me, Oliver. Where were you all this time?" Adam asked his son with a curious gaze.

They had searched everywhere they could think of, but their efforts yielded no results whatsoever, no clues of any kind. It was as if their son had disappeared from the face of the earth itself. This again showed how capable Mia's father was. He had erased all evidence of Oliver's trail from everywhere they checked, preventing them from getting a single piece of information related to him.

Mia also turned to look at her son, her eyes filled with curiosity, worry, and even a bit of nervousness. She couldn't imagine where her son had been the past three months, nor what he had to go through.

"Yes, sweetie. Where were you these past few months? Your mother and father have been worrying themselves sick over you. Please tell us what happened." Mia asked in concern.

Oliver went silent. What happened on the island wasn't something that anyone should know. It was too twisted, and the island itself was full of insanity. No one else should have to experience such an existence. He was pretty sure that he wouldn't go anywhere near that place again.

So in the end, he just decided to tell them half the story, as they didn't need to know about all the cruel and heinous things that went down there.

"Alright, fine. It was an island where I spent three months doing some training. That's all. There was a cabin there with nothing else except some equipment for me to train. So I was kind of like a lone wolf." Oliver explained while parting the bathrobe a bit and feeling up Mia's soft breasts.

Mia, seeing the young man groping her bosom, had a playful glint in her eyes as she bit her lip in anticipation. But instead of indulging in the pleasure like she usually did, she asked with a bit of concern in her voice. "Training on a remote island for three months? Who even thought of that idea? Why did you have to do that?"

Oliver chuckled at the question. "Grandfather did. I guess he wanted me to gain more experience with something real." He answered while moving one of his hands down to stroke her inner thigh.

"Hmm... that old man." Mia narrowed her eyes in annoyance at the thought of her father forcing his grandson to do something so extreme. And as she pondered over what kind of experience he might have wanted to give to her sweetheart, Oliver's fingers grazed over her delicate area and made her shiver.

Adam sighed when he heard Oliver's explanation. He figured Oliver wasn't telling the whole truth, but he didn't want Mia to get overly worried if she found out that Oliver had to suffer there. "Well, at least you're okay. That's all that matters."

"Yeah, it's all good! Everything's fine now." Oliver grinned as he leaned up and captured Mia's soft lips once more.

He had missed her. Her warmth. Her touch. Her love. And everything about her. So much so that he couldn't stand sitting still, even when he had a wild time with Lauren.
