The weather is getting hotter, and Cheng Su is busy packing some necessary things from the house to prepare for transportation to Guangcheng. There are hardly any clothes among them, which Mother Cheng finds curious. She asks a question and learns that Cheng Su plans to give most of her clothes away and won't be taking them to Guangcheng, hence not much packing is involved.
"Why is that? Why are perfectly good clothes being given away?" Mother Cheng is shocked.
Cheng Su laughs, "These are styles from a few years ago, and they're not really fashionable anymore. Besides, what doesn't Guangcheng have? I can just buy new ones there!" Does she lack money for a couple of pieces of clothing?
Mother Cheng calls out to the heavens several times, pointing at her and scolding her for being a spendthrift. Those clothes, in her eyes, are not worn out or torn; some are even quite new, seemingly worn only a few times, yet she says she doesn't want them?
