The flowers are ready to be moved to Guangcheng, and far away in a foreign country, Qi Taiguo is struggling on the line between life and death.
Boom.
Amidst the chaos of war, a child sits in the rubble, crying loudly. On their dirty face, the tears have carved streaks, pitifully revealing sorrow. Beside the child lie the shattered remains of a body, blown apart by an explosion.
Qi Taiguo, dressed in military uniform, crouches carefully through the ruins, with bullets flying overhead and shells exploding in the distance, danger looming on all sides.
Not far off, someone watches Qi Taiguo advance, sweating anxiously. Behind them is the embassy.
"Why is Battalion Commander Qi going there? They're not our compatriots!" A soldier stomps his foot and exclaims, "Saving one is nothing, but now it's another and another."
No one answers him. Perhaps only Qi Taiguo knows that this little life is the same age as his son, and he has the right to see a more wonderful world.
