There were very few women Qi Taiguo genuinely admired; Cheng Su was one, and now there was another—Lu Feiyun. It wasn't just admiration, but respect as well. She made him understand the true meaning of "great love."
He glanced at the woman in front of him. She looked a bit travel‑worn, her features not exactly stunning, yet because of her confidence, the points where she seemed to shine were quite striking.
"Doctor Lu, I'm not as good as you are." Qi Taiguo said, his face full of shame.
Lu Feiyun raised an eyebrow. "Battalion Commander Qi, you're making me feel a bit flattered here!"
"I'm just stating the facts." Qi Taiguo said sincerely. "You're someone people truly admire and respect from the heart."
Lu Feiyun laughed. "Then I'll just take that as a compliment!"
Qi Taiguo laughed as well. "It's not a compliment, it's that you deserve it—great love without selfishness, a benevolent heart and skillful hands."
