Ye Shuilan opened her eyes, momentarily confused, with the sharp scent of disinfectant in her nose, startling her slightly.
Wasn't she escaping on the mountain? Then what is this?
Ye Shuilan looked around, surrounded by white, with people wearing hospital gowns. The person in the neighboring bed glanced at her and then looked away; this was a hospital.
She looked down at herself, also dressed in a blue-and-white hospital gown, and Ye Shuilan was shocked, sitting up abruptly. Where were her clothes and belongings?
She had risked her life to obtain those.
Ye Shuilan's face turned grim, without hesitation pulling out the needle from her hand, and stepped off the bed. However, after just two steps, she staggered, discovering a bandage wrapped around her twisted ankle, apparently treated.
She lifted her clothes to see bandages around her waist, a slight pain—had the bullet been removed?
