Chapter 702 - "Chapter 701: A Nighttime Incident in the Forest."

While Mike and Jessica continued to enjoy their time alone, floating on the boat, Alex, Samantha, and the others remained in the forest cabin, talking by the fireplace and continuing to drink alcohol. Chris and Josh had already consumed enough alcohol that their mood had become so cheerful they couldn't sit still and started dancing — though they were doing it quite poorly.

Hannah, sitting next to Ashley, covered her face with her hands as she watched her brother behaving ridiculously, dancing with Chris. Romantic slow music played from the speaker, while Chris and Josh hugged each other, slowly moving to the melody. Sitting in his chair, Alex tried not to look at it so he wouldn't laugh. The way Chris and Josh were dancing looked so sickeningly sweet in Alex's eyes that he almost vomited everything he had eaten earlier.

Samantha, sitting on Alex's lap, held her phone in her hands, recording the entire dance of Chris and Josh on video so she could show it to them later when they sobered up. Continuing to record everything, Samantha stretched out her leg and lightly nudged Ashley's knee to get her attention. Ashley, holding back laughter at what she was seeing, turned her head toward Samantha after feeling the nudge.

"Don't you want to stop this?" Samantha asked, nodding her head toward Chris and Josh.

"Not yet… I'm barely holding back from laughing. But I'm afraid I'll ruin it… And don't forget to send me that video later," Ashley said, covering her mouth with her hand to suppress her laughter.

"Seriously. They're so sweet it's making me nauseous. All that's missing is a kiss, and then I'd definitely wish to go blind," Emily said, grimacing in disgust.

"Speak quieter, or those two drunkards will hear you and actually kiss. And none of us wants to see that," Alex said, shushing Emily and raising a finger to his lips.

Shifting their gaze back to the drunk Chris and Josh, who continued dancing as if they hadn't heard anything, everyone nodded in agreement, thinking Alex's words were right. No one wanted that to actually happen. And knowing the habits of drunk Chris and Josh, everyone was sure that these two idiots were capable of it, just to get a laugh.

Soon, during the dance, Chris's face suddenly turned pale, and he grabbed his mouth, running out of the forest cabin with his hand over his mouth. Understanding that her boyfriend was about to vomit, Ashley sighed and followed after Chris, grabbing a bottle of cold water to help him. Josh, swaying slightly, looked at the open doors and blinked lazily, not understanding what was happening or where Chris had run off to.

"And what was that? Where did he run off to?" Josh muttered, leaning on the table and trying not to fall due to his drunken state.

A moment later, he received an answer to his question when an unpleasant sound came from outside, followed by a splash. When it became clear that Chris was vomiting, Josh's face instantly turned pale, and sweat appeared on his forehead. A wave of nausea immediately hit Josh, and he, covering his mouth, ran outside on his unsteady legs.

Hannah, watching her brother run off, suppressed her own disgust and nausea. Grabbing a bottle of cold water from the table, Hannah followed after Josh to help him. Alex, Samantha, Emily, and Matt were left in the house, forced to listen to this symphony of sounds performed by the two guys who were vomiting loudly.

"Eh, I told you not to mix alcohol. Lightweights," Alex said with a smile, listening to Chris and Josh throwing up.

"You mixed it too. And you don't look drunk at all. You drank no less than those two," Matt said cheerfully, looking at Alex, who continued drinking.

"I just have a good body. It's hard for me to get drunk," Alex said, shrugging.

"It shows that both you and Sammy are sober… Let's go, Matt. Otherwise, I might actually throw up from these sounds," Emily said, getting up from the sofa and pulling Matt along with her.

Getting up from the sofa, Emily dragged Matt with her to their room where they were going to sleep. As Emily pulled him along, Matt turned his head and waved to Alex and Samantha, wishing them good night. Alex waved back and hugged Samantha, who leaned against him, pressing her nose into his neck. Stroking Samantha's back, Alex looked at the time — it was already midnight.

Trying not to move, Alex turned his head toward the open door and wondered how long Mike and Jessica planned to stay out on the boat. Stroking Samantha's back to get her attention, Alex rubbed a little harder so she would open her eyes. Feeling the strokes on her back, Samantha slowly opened her eyes, rubbing them slightly. She didn't know what Alex wanted from her, and while in his arms she had almost fallen asleep and at that moment wanted to continue resting.

"Mmmm… I'm not sleeping. I'm resting," Samantha muttered, rubbing her eyes slightly and straightening up without getting off Alex's lap.

"Let's go check on Jessica and Mike. Just in case. You know how it is," Alex said, placing the empty glass from his alcohol on the table.

"I think we should check on them. With this kind of life, it's easy to develop paranoia," Samantha agreed, getting up from Alex's lap.

"No need to forget that this is only in this world. Where monsters can jump out from any corner," Alex chuckled, standing up from the chair.

"Don't remind me. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't even know that the world I live in is so creepy," Samantha said, grabbing Alex's cheek.

"But you don't mind it," Alex said, kissing Samantha on the cheek.

"I'm fine with everything. This kind of life is quite exciting and eventful. Even if my clothes almost always end up covered in blood," Samantha said, rolling her eyes and quickly kissing Alex on the lips.

Chuckling, Alex kissed Samantha on the nose and took her by the hand. Smiling, Samantha leaned against Alex's shoulder, and they went outside together. Stepping out onto the porch, Alex and Samantha saw Chris and Josh sitting there. The two guys were sitting on the porch with their heads down, in terrible condition after both of them had vomited.

Ashley sat next to Chris, wiping his neck with a damp cloth to help him recover. Hannah looked tiredly at her brother Josh, who was sitting with his head down, clutching a bottle of water. Seeing the condition of her two friends, Samantha couldn't help but ask if they were okay.

Chris muttered a few incoherent phrases and waved his hand, showing that he would sit for a bit longer and everything would be fine. Ashley, looking at her boyfriend, didn't believe it and understood that she would have to drag Chris to their room. Josh continued to sit without reacting to what was happening. And a moment later, his snoring sounded, indicating that he had simply fallen asleep.

"Need help dragging these two idiots to bed?" Alex asked, lighting a cigarette and watching Chris and Josh.

"No need. We'll manage somehow. And where are you two going?" Ashley said, shaking her head and looking at Alex and Samantha with interest.

"We're going to look for Jess and Mike… Just in case," Samantha said, pointing toward the path leading to the river.

Hearing Samantha's words, Ashley understood what she meant. The events that had happened on Blackwood Mountain were still quite fresh in everyone's memory. And it was only thanks to joining the Ghostfacers group at Chris's request that Ashley had been able to cope with her fears. Even if their group had messed up badly once and they had only managed to escape thanks to Alex's timely help.

Nodding, Ashley took Chris by the arm and threw his arm over her shoulder, helping him stand up. As Chris was lifted, he continued muttering that he was fine. Before leading Chris away, Ashley looked at Hannah and said that after taking Chris to their room, she would help her take Josh. Watching Ashley handle dragging Chris by herself, Alex and Samantha understood that their help wasn't needed.

Waving goodbye to Hannah, Alex and Samantha headed down the worn path leading to the pier on the river. Walking along the path that was barely lit by moonlight, Alex and Samantha enjoyed the leisurely walk in each other's company. A fresh cool breeze blew outside, the leaves of the trees rustled slightly in the wind, and a peaceful silence surrounded them.

Samantha held Alex's hand with a slight smile on her face. They didn't need to talk to enjoy such a pleasant walk; this peaceful silence suited them perfectly. Halfway along the path, Alex and Samantha heard a strange rustling and the crack of branches coming from the bushes next to them.

Alex instantly took the Casull pistol from his inventory — the one Alucard had given him in exchange for the improved Evelyn — and aimed it. The rustling in the bushes grew louder until the head of a young deer emerged from the bushes, blinking its eyes as it looked at Alex and Samantha.

"It's just a deer. No need to point your gun at its face… Come here, cutie, I'll pet you," Samantha laughed, stretching her hand toward the deer.

"I'd believe you if you hadn't pulled out your own gun," Alex said, putting the Casull back into his inventory and nodding toward the pistol in Samantha's hand.

In Samantha's hands was a special black Colt 1911 with special silver engravings. And this pistol Samantha had received from her father when she told him she had become a Hunter. Quietly snorting at Alex's words, Samantha put her Colt 1911 back into her personal inventory and continued stretching her other hand toward the deer.

The deer blinked again, looking at Alex and Samantha, then slightly leaned forward, bumping its forehead into Samantha's palm and rubbing against it lightly. Feeling the deer's soft fur, Samantha couldn't hide the smile on her face as she gently stroked the deer's snout. Samantha wanted to pet the deer a little more when the crack of a branch sounded nearby, and the deer quickly jumped back and ran deeper into the forest.

"Oh, sorry. We didn't mean to interrupt," Jessica's awkward voice sounded nearby.

Turning their heads toward the voice, Alex and Samantha saw Jessica and Mike walking hand in hand, holding flashlights. Jessica looked slightly guilty at Samantha because, seeing her petting the deer, she had also wanted to come closer. Alex, meanwhile, looked at Mike and asked with his eyes how it went.

Mike smiled and nodded, showing that their boat ride had gone better than expected. Alex discreetly raised his ring finger, hinting that Mike had proposed to Jessica. But Mike pursed his lips and shook his head, showing that wasn't the case.

"Everything's fine, Jess. If you don't count the fact that you almost gave the poor deer a heart attack," Alex said, shifting his gaze to Jessica.

"Oh, shut up. How were we supposed to know you two were playing animal whisperers here… Better tell us, why are you out here?" Jessica said sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Alex.

"We decided to take a walk and look for you two, just in case," Samantha said with a slight smile, taking Alex's hand.

Jessica nodded thoughtfully at Samantha's words. Mike understood what Samantha meant. After all, on the entire way back, he had been listening to the surrounding sounds. Because of his bitter experience from what he had faced.

After finishing exchanging phrases, Alex, Samantha, Mike, and Jessica decided to return to the forest cabin. The girls walked ahead, chatting about various things. Samantha couldn't help but ask what had happened during the boat ride. Hearing the question, Jessica couldn't hide her smile and began boasting about how it went.

Alex and Mike walked behind the girls, listening to their conversation. Walking next to Mike, Alex lightly nudged the guy with his elbow and a grin. Feeling the nudge, Mike turned his head and smiled back. After all, Alex had given him the advice to take Jessica out on the boat. And everything had gone better than he had expected.

"By the way, what happened while we were gone?" Mike asked, putting his hands in the pockets of his jacket.

"Well… Chris and Josh were hugging and dancing to romantic music. Then they both threw up. So watch your step, just in case," Alex laughed as he told them what Mike and Jessica had missed.

"They what?!" Jessica exclaimed in surprise after hearing Alex's words.

Holding back their laughter, Alex and Samantha began describing in detail how Josh and Chris had danced while hugging, resting their heads on each other's shoulders. Mike imagined it for a moment and shuddered slightly before bursting into laughter. Samantha took out her phone to show the video she had recorded.

When Jessica and Mike saw the video of Chris and Josh dancing, it was the last straw for them, and they laughed again, momentarily regretting that they had missed the chance to see it in person. By the time Alex finished telling them that it had all ended with Chris and Josh throwing up, they had returned to the forest cabin.

Looking around for any traces left by Chris and Josh, Jessica stepped carefully on the ground, afraid of stepping into a puddle of vomit. Entering the forest cabin, everyone heard loud snoring coming from the sofa by the fireplace. Turning their heads, they saw Josh sprawled out on the sofa, snoring loudly with one arm and one leg hanging off the edge. Laughing at Josh's condition, no one planned to disturb his sleep.

"Alright, let him sleep. We still have a whole day of rest tomorrow. And he'll have a day of suffering from a hangover," Alex said quietly, leading Samantha with him.

"That's for sure. Tomorrow he'll definitely be suffering from a headache," Mike agreed, walking to their room with Jessica.

Wishing each other good night, the couples went to their respective rooms. Entering their room, Alex and Samantha quickly changed and climbed into bed. Even though it was summer outside, Samantha smiled and snuggled up to Alex, as his body temperature was very comfortable.

Rubbing her cheek against Alex's arm, Samantha closed her eyes, preparing to fall asleep. Kissing Samantha on the top of her head, Alex closed his eyes and began to relax as well. He really liked this kind of vacation, where nothing happened and they could just fool around and talk nonsense that everyone would only laugh at.

Before falling asleep, Alex thought about going on a similar picnic with his entire large family. But knowing the preferences of all his wives, Alex understood that they would need to choose a world where all the girls could find something to occupy themselves with.

Soon, complete silence fell over the forest cabin, broken only by the sound of the wind and the rustling of leaves, the occasional sounds of nocturnal animals, and Josh's loud snoring as he slept alone in the living room on the sofa. Everyone was very tired after such an eventful day and was quite satisfied with this kind of rest. And while everyone was sleeping, Hannah still couldn't fall asleep.

And the reason wasn't that she felt uncomfortable or scared because of where they were. The reason was quite simple — she simply didn't want to sleep. Lying alone in the darkness, Hannah thought about what had happened to her. She didn't remember anything from the year she had been considered missing. And all she had been told was that she and Beth had been kidnapped by some man who had kept them in cages in abandoned mines.

But she remembered none of it. And even the doctors said that the memory loss was related to severe stress from the events she had experienced. Hannah had tried to ask her brother what had really happened. But he, like the others, repeated the same story about the maniac. Such thoughts arose in her head every time she was left alone, and this time was no exception.

Staring at the dark ceiling, Hannah sighed heavily, realizing that her own thoughts were once again preventing her from sleeping. Rubbing her face, Hannah reached for her glasses lying on the bedside table and put them on. Putting on her glasses and taking her phone in her hands, she saw that it was only one in the morning.

"I need to take a walk. That always helped," Hannah said with a sigh, looking at the phone screen.

Turning on the flashlight on her phone, Hannah quietly got out of bed and put on her sneakers. After putting on her shoes, she quietly approached the door and carefully opened it so as not to wake anyone. Making her way down the corridor, Hannah stepped carefully on the wooden floorboards so they wouldn't creak. Reaching the living room, Hannah heard her brother's snoring and quietly approached him.

Peeking out from behind the sofa, Hannah looked at her brother. She knew what he had gone through after what had happened to her. In her desire to find out what had happened during the year she had been considered missing, Hannah had managed to get Ashley to tell her what had happened with Josh.

And learning that Josh had blamed everyone, including himself, for her and Beth going missing, that he had gone so far as to decide to take revenge on those he considered friends. Looking at her brother's face, Hannah carefully adjusted the blanket, covering Josh so he wouldn't get cold at night. As soon as Hannah adjusted the blanket, Josh began muttering in his sleep, turning onto his other side and hugging the blanket.

"Even now you're still tossing and turning in your sleep," Hannah said quietly with a smile on her face.

Smiling slightly and shaking her head, Hannah carefully began walking toward the door. Stepping outside and closing the door behind her, Hannah took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air. Descending from the porch, Hannah looked up at the sky, thinking about what had happened to her. For everyone around her, a whole year had passed, but for her, it had only been one day.

And the only memory she had of that day was how she had been pranked and had run away in sadness. And after that, she had opened her eyes in the hospital and learned that a whole year had passed. But what saddened her the most was that only she had been saved, while Beth had not. Once again thinking about her sister Beth, Hannah couldn't hold back, and a tear rolled down her cheek. In moments like these, she really wanted to see Beth again.

"Beth… I really miss you… I still don't remember what happened. It must have been so scary for us… I wish everything had been different. If only I hadn't run away then. Maybe… Maybe everything would have been okay," Hannah said with difficulty holding back her tears, looking at the star-filled sky.

Saying these words, Hannah understood that no one would answer her. Wiping away her tears, Hannah began to recall all the good things that had happened between her and Beth. And only these good memories helped her cope with the sadness after losing her sister. Wiping away the remaining tears, Hannah looked away from the night sky.

Such sad thoughts deprived her of sleep even more, and Hannah was well aware of that. Turning back, Hannah looked at the forest cabin, and at that moment she didn't want to return to bed. Thinking for a moment, Hannah thought she could take a short walk through the forest.

After all, she had often walked at night when she couldn't sleep, traveling with her parents, who had been full of enthusiasm after her return. And such night walks had always helped her get rid of the unnecessary thoughts in her head that prevented her from sleeping. Stopping looking at the forest cabin, Hannah walked over to the path leading into the forest and lit the way with the flashlight on her phone.

"Nothing bad will happen. I won't get lost. And there are paths here," Hannah said quietly, encouraging herself as she looked at the forest path in front of her.

Pushing away unnecessary thoughts, Hannah walked forward along the path, lighting her way with the flashlight on her phone. Hannah wasn't looking where she was going; she was simply enjoying a leisurely walk through the night forest alone. Walking along the worn path, Hannah hummed a light melody from a song that her sister Beth had liked and often listened to.

Walking far enough, Hannah reached a fork and shone her flashlight in both directions. Thinking for a bit, she turned right and continued walking unhurriedly, thinking about going to the wooden pier by the river. Continuing further, Hannah never reached the pier. Seeing another fork in front of her, Hannah stopped and thought.

"I think I turned the wrong way… I need to go back," Hannah muttered, realizing she had gone the wrong path.

Thinking about turning back, Hannah heard the sound of a breaking branch nearby. Hearing this sound, Hannah immediately tensed up and shone her flashlight in the direction the noise had come from. Shining the flashlight in different directions, Hannah hoped it wasn't a wild animal she had accidentally encountered. After all, she had already had a similar experience on Blackwood Mountain, where various animals lived, especially predators like wolves and bears.

"Who's there?!" Hannah asked cautiously, shining her flashlight toward the trees.

In response to Hannah's words, there was only a very quiet ringing silence. And this kind of silence greatly unnerved Hannah. Hannah began carefully backing away in case it really was a wild animal, continuing to shine her flashlight forward.

And after taking a few more steps back, she heard the sound of another breaking branch coming from the direction she was shining the flashlight. When another crack sounded, Hannah felt a wave of fear wash over her, and her back was covered in cold sweat. Not knowing what was in that direction, Hannah continued to back away.

And a moment later, a man emerged from behind a tree, dressed in a tattered raincoat covered in strange stains that looked like dirt. Seeing the man, Hannah immediately understood that she needed to run. And the words coming from him only made Hannah's heart clench with fear.

"We will destroy the whore of the outsider who brought darkness to this holy land… We have been sent suffering, and we must be ready for righteous cruelty in the name of our Lord," the man muttered, looking at Hannah with his insane, cloudy gaze.

In the same second, Hannah took off from her spot and began to run. She wasn't looking where she was running, and all her thoughts were occupied with getting as far away as possible from the unfamiliar man. Glancing back for a moment, Hannah saw that the man in the raincoat was still standing in place.

Not stopping, Hannah continued running, experiencing a brief moment of relief, thinking she had simply encountered a madman. But her heart froze when she saw that the man had started running after her. The feeling of surging fear immediately made Hannah speed up.

"Help!" Hannah screamed, hoping someone would hear her at that moment.

Hannah hoped that someone would be able to hear her cry. But because she wasn't looking where she was running, Hannah turned off the path that led to the forest cabin and ran deeper into the forest. Continuing to run, Hannah didn't stop screaming, calling for help. Gradually her breathing became ragged, and only thanks to adrenaline did she continue running further, not feeling tired.

Shouting for help once more, Hannah turned her head back and saw that the man chasing her was starting to catch up. A feeling of panic hit her head with renewed force. Seeing that she was almost caught, Hannah began to panic and didn't notice a tree branch in her path. Turning her head forward, Hannah noticed the branch too late.

And she immediately hit it with her head. There was a crack of a dry branch, and Hannah fell to the ground. Her glasses flew off her face, and she dropped her phone, which rolled to the side. Trying to find her glasses, Hannah heard the crack of a broken branch behind her. Turning her head, she could only see the outline of the man in the raincoat slowly approaching her.

"Don't come near me! Don't come near me! HELP!" Hannah screamed, trying to crawl away from the man who was chasing her.

But the man didn't listen to a single word from Hannah and continued approaching her. When the unknown man had almost reached Hannah, she grabbed a nearby branch and swung it at him. The stranger easily caught the branch, squeezing it in his hand. Hannah tried to pull the branch out of the man's hands, but he only yanked it from her hands and threw it aside. Hannah continued to crawl backward, throwing various objects at the man that she could feel with her hands.

"Don't come near me!" Hannah shouted, throwing another branch at the man.

But the stranger didn't care that objects thrown by Hannah were hitting his body. He continued walking forward as if he felt no pain. Seeing that nothing was working, Hannah turned over and tried to crawl away, forgetting about her phone and lost glasses. But as soon as Hannah crawled forward, she felt herself being grabbed by the leg and dragged back.

Hannah dug her fingers into the dry ground, still trying to escape from the stranger. The man dragged Hannah toward him and immediately sat on top of her. Hannah began to fight back against the man who was sitting on her. The man calmly knocked Hannah's hands away and grabbed her neck with both hands, starting to squeeze hard. Hannah felt her breathing falter; it became difficult to breathe after the man's hands closed around her neck.

"And he said, Strike them with a knife, a stick, a fist, if that's all you have. God rejoices at the spilled dirty blood," the stranger muttered, squeezing Hannah's neck.

Hannah continued her attempts to fight back against the man and even scratched his face with her nails. Blood began to flow from the scratches on the man's face. But his grip on Hannah's neck remained just as strong. Hannah's hands began to weaken as she started to feel the last of her strength leaving her body. Hannah felt her mind beginning to sink into darkness.

At that moment, she was not only scared, she also didn't want everything to end like this. Hannah's hands fell limply to the ground, and tears began to flow from her eyes. Before consciousness finally left Hannah, she felt her hand touch something hard. Squeezing the hard object in her hand, Hannah gathered the last of her strength and immediately struck the stranger in the head.

Receiving a blow to the head, the stranger momentarily loosened his grip on Hannah's neck, giving her a chance to take a breath. And before the stranger could squeeze his hands again, Hannah struck him in the head once more. At that moment, a strong will to survive awakened in Hannah, and only this one thought was in her head. She herself didn't understand where so much strength had come from in her hands.

But she didn't care at all, and she began striking one blow after another at the man's head to throw him off her. After several blows, Hannah managed to throw the man off herself. Freeing herself from the stranger's grip, Hannah put her hand to her throat and began coughing, trying to breathe. Coughing heavily after being strangled, Hannah still clutched the bloodied stone with which she had smashed the stranger's head.

"Is he dead?" Hannah said hoarsely, rubbing her throat and trying to breathe normally.

At that moment, Hannah felt fear because she had killed a person. But at the same moment, the man stirred, and panic once again filled Hannah's head. Not wanting to wait for the stranger to wake up, Hannah got up from the ground and began to run further.

Without looking back, Hannah ran through the forest, experiencing only fear and panic, clutching the bloodied stone in her hands. She ran through bushes and branches that left marks on her body. Soon Hannah saw the outline of the forest cabin in the distance and thought she had managed to return. Speeding up, Hannah ran up to the forest cabin and immediately began banging on the door to wake everyone up.

"Help! Someone's chasing me!" Hannah screamed, pulling on the closed wooden doors.

The doors immediately opened, and Hannah, without even looking to see who had opened them, ran inside and closed the doors behind her. Slamming the doors shut, Hannah slid down the doors to the floor and immediately lost consciousness.

Tucker and Dale, seeing the girl who had run in, were immediately confused, especially seeing the condition she was in. They immediately recognized Hannah, but couldn't understand what was happening to her. But her appearance and the bloodied stone she was clutching in her hand raised too many suspicions.

"What the hell happened to her?" Tucker swore, looking at Hannah.

"I don't know, Tucker. But she needs help. It's that girl from the gas station. She was screaming that someone was chasing her," Dale said, squatting down next to Hannah.

"Thanks, Captain Obvious. I guess I didn't hear her screaming and calling for help…" Tucker said irritably, looking at Dale.

"I'm just saying. But who was chasing her and why was she alone in the forest," Dale said, examining Hannah.

"I don't know… Alright, screw it. Help this girl, and I'll go see what she was running from. Maybe she was unlucky and ran into a wild animal. I'll go out and check," Tucker swore, looking out the window into the darkness.

"And what about her friends?" Dale asked, helping Hannah up.

"Have you seen the time? Do you think you can find anyone in this darkness? When she comes to, we'll ask her… Damn, I don't like this shit at all," Tucker said, shaking his head.

Dale could only nod, carrying Hannah to a room so she could recover. Tucker looked at Dale and sighed heavily. Looking out the window once more, Tucker saw nothing and didn't like that on their first day in their country cabin something like this had happened.

Opening the door, Tucker went outside and looked around, hoping to see something. Seeing nothing suspicious, Tucker spat on the ground, thinking that Hannah had simply been unlucky and had encountered a wild animal that had attacked her, and she had fought it off with a stone. What Tucker didn't notice as he went back inside was that from the darkness, a man in a raincoat was watching him, blood dripping from his head.

To be continued...

(So, the situation has escalated. Anyway, since you haven't said anything, I've chosen the Outlast 2 plot. After all, a group of insane child-killing cultists is far more interesting than a mental hospital, which Alex has already visited several of. The choice is, of course, obvious. As for Mount Massive, let someone else handle that, like Dean and Sam. Well, as usual, things will gradually escalate. In the meantime, I'm going to eat and play while I have time. Peace, love, and don't walk through the woods alone at night.)
