Chapter 90 - Trial (XIV)

"Sir, would you like to make an exchange with us?"

Annie asked cautiously, looking quite nervous.

"Whether I trade or not is my business." Morin raised his eyes, glanced at Annie, and said, "If you want to trade with me, fine, tell me first, what exactly do you have?"

Annie paused, her expression turning somewhat awkward.

After taking a deep breath, she began to tell Morin, "Lord Jack, the underground resources we are carrying include: Sapphire Blue Flowers, Flame Bull Hooves, Purple Centipede Blood, Ghost-Faced Spider Eggs, and Black Goat Hearts..."

Morin listened quietly, his expression calm.

However, when he heard about the eggs of the demon-faced spider, he could no longer remain calm.

The eggs of the Demon-Faced Spider are one of the four essential materials needed to construct the Minaite Totem, making them extremely important and indispensable.

He already had a plan in mind.

"Mr. Jack, what do you think?" Soon, Annie finished presenting all the materials. She looked at Morin with a nervous expression on her face.

"Very good, your materials are excellent, and your resources are abundant." Morin nodded slowly and smiled.

"So, Mr. Jack, would you like to make the exchange?"

Annie looked a little nervous.

"Exchange? Of course I'd exchange." Morin smiled.

"Alright, then, Mr. Jack, what do you need? Please tell me, and I will definitely…" A look of joy appeared on Annie's face.

Before she could finish her sentence, Morin interrupted her.

"I want everything you just mentioned." Morin glanced at Annie, then his gaze swept over the other dark elves, and he said, "Also, well, there are seven dark elves here, right? Then, give me seven more low-level magic stone cards."

"One low-level magic stone card is equivalent to one thousand magic stones."

"Each of you…"

"One thousand magic stones for each person."

"That's what Morin said calmly."

After a moment of surprise, the dark elves all became enraged.

"presumptuous!"

"That's outrageous!"

"That's absolutely outrageous!"

"Impossible! Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!"

The dark elves were roaring, but they all quieted down after Annie waved her hand.

"Sir Jack, your conditions are too harsh." Annie's face was very unpleasant.

"Strict? Is it strict?" Morin laughed, speaking slowly, "Ani, do you have a choice?"

"The fact that you dared to risk your lives to catch up shows that this bloodline seal stone is very important to you, so its exchange price should naturally be higher."

"Furthermore, Annie, this exchange is not just about exchanging bloodline seal stones, it's about exchanging your lives."

Maureen looked at Annie quietly.

Annie was about to say something, but after hearing Maureen's words, she suddenly realized that she had nothing to say.

It's not just about exchanging bloodline seal stones, it's about exchanging your lives...

Annie's expression shifted constantly, revealing her complex emotions. The dark elves beside her were startled; they stared at Ash's corpse on the ground and fell silent.

Maureen didn't speak, but just looked at Annie, waiting for her answer.

After a long silence, Annie finally spoke, her voice tinged with bitterness, "Fine...alright...Mr. Jack...we agree, we agree to your terms of exchange."

"very good."

Morin laughed.

Then, he made a deal with Annie and the others.

During the transaction, Morin remained calm, while Annie and the others looked extremely tense, their faces revealing undisguised panic and worry.

Finally, the transaction was completed. Morin looked at the spider eggs mixed in with the other materials in his hand, a faint look of joy flashing across his eyes.

"Alright, the transaction is complete, so you..."

Morin looked up and ahead, only to find that Annie and the others had disappeared. The trees in front of her were swaying, and she could vaguely see Annie and the others running away.

Annie and the other dark elves, out of fear of Morin, fled hastily without lingering at all immediately after the transaction was completed.

"Really..."

Seeing this, Morin couldn't help but shake his head and laugh.

Then, Morin thought of other things.

"According to what the leaders told us before we entered the secret realm, as long as more than 90% of the people die, we can leave in just ten days."

"More than 90% of the people died, which also indicates the ripening time of the Skol Soul-Hunting Fruit."

"The Skol Soul-Hunting Fruit ripened today."

"Then, in ten days, we will leave the secret realm."

Morin thought to himself silently.

He was thinking about what he should do next.

"During my time with Bivis and the others, I've come to understand the overall strength of all the wizard apprentices in the secret realm. My points are not only not less, but actually quite a lot, which is rather conspicuous."

"Then I don't need the points anymore."

"There's no need for me to fight with the other wizard apprentices. Besides, I don't have many alchemical grenades left, only about a dozen."

"There are still ten days left, so I'll use these ten days to properly deal with my things."

Morin quickly made up his mind.

Using the map in his mind as a guide, he identified a direction, his figure flashing as he swiftly ran towards it.

...

Swish, swish, swish.

A sound like tree branches rustling came from nearby.

A group of figures ran out, glancing back every now and then, their faces filled with panic.

"Alright, we've run quite far."

"He didn't chase after us, did he?"

"No!"

"That's good."

"We're safe now, we're safe."

The dark elves breathed a sigh of relief, leaning against nearby tree trunks, panting heavily.

In fact, dark elves are a very elegant race that pays great attention to their manners, but at this moment, Annie and the others were pale, sweating on their foreheads, and their clothes were disheveled. They had none of the demeanor of dark elves.

Everyone was running, running desperately. Their shadow over that man, Jack the Ripper, was just too deep.

"Ani, we…" A tall dark elf walked up to Ani, opened his mouth as if to say something. A look of resignation appeared on his face.

Annie didn't speak, she just shook her head.

She carefully opened her hand, revealing the bloodline imprint stone covered with blood-red patterns, and a look of relief appeared on her face.

"It's all worth it, it's all worth it." Annie's eyes were a little misty as she said, "As long as we can get the Bloodline Seal Stone back, then it's all worth it."

The nearby dark elves remained silent. They approached and looked at the bloodline seal stone in Annie's hand, a glimmer of hope appearing in their eyes.

"This is, Your Highness, Princess Freya..." a dark elf said in a low voice, her expression full of sorrow.

"Your Highness Freya..."

Ani's expression was somewhat strange. She said, "Your Highness, Your Highness may not be dead. However, it will be very difficult for her to be resurrected. Even if the Night Mother uses the Spring of Life of the clan, she may not be able to revive Your Highness."

Dark elves are a very strange race, with an incredibly long history, their own gods, and some peculiar methods. However, Annie wasn't sure if she could save Freya.

Oh, and that enchanted item, the slender cross-shaped sword belonging to the dark elves, was also taken by Jack.

As Annie thought to herself, for some reason, she suddenly felt a great sense of loss.

Just then, a dark elf, panting heavily, ran over.

"Ani, something terrible has happened! Alja and the others have sent word that the Silver Soul Hands have discovered their trail and are preparing to attack the Sealed Land!"

The dark elf was covered in sweat and could barely speak, but he couldn't help but show an anxious expression as he said, "The Son of Silver Soul! Among those people of the Hand of Silver Soul, there is actually a very powerful Son of Silver Soul! His strength is too great; he has already reached the level of a formal wizard. Alga and the others simply cannot withstand him."

"The Gintama Hand? That mysterious sorcerer organization that only cares about bloodlines?"

"Didn't they disappear without a trace? How come they're here again?"

"Damn it! Where did those bastards get their information that they dare to plot against the sealed land!"

The dark elves couldn't help but show resentment and anxiety.

Annie, on the other hand, appeared much calmer. She looked at the dark elf and asked, "Tell me, what kind of bloodline does that Silver Soul Child possess?"

"I…I don't know…" The dark elf looked very weak. He shook his head and said, "We can only sense the intense power of the Purgatory World from that Silver Soul Child. We don't know anything else."

Is it the power of the legendary, powerful world of Purgatory?

Annie's breath caught in her throat as she suddenly felt an intense pressure bearing down on her.

"Let's go find Alja quickly. Now that we have the Bloodline Seal Stone, we don't need to worry about that Silver Soul Child in the fiefdom at all!"

"This time, we must retrieve everything from our fiefdom!"

Annie shouted loudly.

Immediately, she moved swiftly and rushed forward.

Behind Annie, the dark elves transformed into streaks of black shadow and sped toward the sealed land.
