Chapter 16 - Bonus Episode

Bang Inho—a well known producer-director in Korea's entertainment world, especially so in variety shows.

His shows never had any controversy and were always welcomed warmly by Korean netizens. He may not be the best or most popular show producer, but famous artists who worked with Bang Inho spoke kindly of him, some even friends now.

In other words, he's a good guy.

And now, Bang Inho is taking the co-producer seat as well as the director part of this show, Make Your Idol.

Bang Inho introduced himself cheerfully and started a long speech to the guys who listened genuinely.

As for me?

I was giving half my attention to this guy, but focused on watching and sneaking pictures of the two guys munching on some kimbap next to me.

The ate like a pair of hamsters, cheeks chubby and eyes bright.

Anyways, I didn't pay attention not because I cared, but because I already knew everything and more that the PD spoke about, all from Admin-nim's insider knowledge.

So, as a kind person, I shall explain this to you readers.

The current filming will be included in episode one's bonus video. Right now, we will be playing a game unrelated to the narrative, so this is a variety episode before anything even begun.

The main prize for winning is the first priority to pick which of the three busses he wants to be in. Each bus has the same goal in location, but they follow different routes, and the participants will be filmed through the journey to the actual filming site.

The director explained all this in his own words.

"By the way, each bus will get different budgets for their breakfast. The ones that arrive the latest will also get the least money!"

The guys groaned in reaction. Bang Inho just chuckled and continued to speak.

"Well then, since you guys seem to understand already, let's start with explaining the game!"

.

Hello. This is Jung Haechan after a whole hour of the game time. I'm half proud to say that I've lasted this long.

So the game itself consisted of two things: singing and dancing challenges.

It's just a typical variety show game where all the participants start by standing in the same area. Once a random music turns up, the participants will have to do the dance or sing the lyrics for that song. If they don't know the song or practices it wrongly, they don't get a point.

After someone gets five songs wrong, he is eliminated from the game and automatically gets the lowest score.

Now, I don't know many global pop songs, but most of the ones I vigorously studied just happened to be there. I had no issue with most songs by female artists since I focused more on them to exaggerate this 'diva' persona better, but I ran out of luck with the dance part of the game and lost pretty quickly.

For each part of the game, the staff played twenty-five songs in total, meaning the highest amount of points someone could get was 50 in total.

I got 34 songs right, which isn't so bad in my book. Han Daniel over here barely knew any song and scored 20 points after working it up by dancing, while Mahesha was part of the top five in both the singing and dancing section.

Han Daniel and I applaused him proudly as he returned back to us.

"Woo-hoo! Great job just now, dude!"

I said, raising my hands near my hand. Mahesha responded to the high five and sat down in the middle.

"Thanks. For some reason, I happened to know the songs they played. It's too bad I wasn't practicing with you at those times, Daniel."

Certainly, these songs weren't chosen randomly.

Even in this bonus episode, the main characters are those chosen to be in the debut line-up.

I'm glad Han Daniel still managed to stand out even with this sabotage, the same for the other guys that I don't recognize but remained for long in the game.

Anyways, it's very clearly morning by now, and we're already sweating in our performance outfits.

I'm glad I at least wore a tank top under this jacket, but it's starting to make me feel hot instead.

We received a 10-minute break after both courses of the game ended.

By the way, Kim Dojun got the highest score, which is 48. I'm not sure if this guy has a life outside of training, but he's the ace of all trainees for a reason.

The ten minutes wrapped up a bit too quickly for me as I barely even finished my water.

"Great job, everyone! It seems that you all got pretty high scores, even the lowest ones," the PD said as soon as he returned. He didn't stop there and continued, "Our lovely staff here have quickly counted everyone's scores, so I will be announcing the number one winner, along with the top five highest scores after that!"

Everyone clapped, most of them already rested well.

Let's cut to the chase here since I don't feel like waiting for the PD to elongate something as dumb as announcing names. I already counted everyone's scores, anyway.

Here is the ranking according to me, which was later proven correct by the PD's words:

2. Nikolai - 44 points

3. Emery - 42 points

4. Mahesha - 40 points

5. Kato - 37 points

5. David - 37 points

"And lastly, today's real champion is... Shall we all say his name–?"

I, and with a few other guys, didn't hesitate to yell in response, "Dojun!!"

'And then everyone clapped'.

Kim Dojun walked up and stood by Nikolai, who took second place, with a proud smile on his face

The PD congratulated him and everyone else once again before coming in with a new catch.

"So, participant Dojun. As you know, you will get to choose which bus you will be in first: the black bus, the red bus, or the blue one," PD explained again. It was clear that Kim Dojun would choose the black bus, which took the fastest route and gave more money.

"Thing is!" The PD added, "You get to choose anybody among the participants still sitting in front of you to take a ride in the same bus!"

The crowd grew lively.

The director also chuckled for some reason.

"I will give you some time to think. So while you do that, let's get to the other five who–"

"I choose Haechan!"

Oh!
