Gu Shengyin obediently finished eating her chicken wings.
Even though it was her first time at He Lou's house, and the first time He Lou cooked for her.
Neither of them felt it was out of place at all.
They were simply like they had a natural understanding, as if they'd been getting along like this for years.
After dinner, He Lou washed fruit for Gu Shengyin and went to clean up in the kitchen.
Gu Shengyin glanced at the man who was diligently working, and quietly chuckled to herself.
"What are you laughing at?" The sofa beside her sank as He Lou sat down.
Gu Shengyin casually stabbed a piece of cantaloupe and placed it into his mouth: "I'm laughing because, the youngest General in the Republic, is washing his hands to make a meal for me. Even if I were to tell anyone about this, I doubt they'd believe it, don't you think?"
Her statement was originally just teasing, but surprisingly, He Lou replied earnestly: "I suppose no one would believe it."
