After having breakfast, Xuexue took Zi Xia out.
In the carriage, Zi Xia occasionally poked her head out to look at the scenery outside. Noticing that this road was slightly different from the usual route, she asked, "Miss, aren't we going to the shop? Did we take the wrong road?"
Xuexue smiled and said, "No mistake, this is the road. We're not going to the shop today; there's something urgent we need to do."
Zi Xia was puzzled and asked, "Miss, where are we going?"
Xuexue replied mysteriously, "You'll know in a while."
"Oh!" With the Miss being so secretive, Zi Xia didn't ask further and sat obediently in the palanquin.
The palanquin traveled for about two hours and arrived at a small town. It was quite strange—although it was clearly daytime, the streets were entirely empty, and the shops on both sides were tightly closed.
"Miss, did we possibly come to the wrong place?" Zi Xia opened the palanquin's curtain and, seeing the outside situation, asked with curiosity.
