Lu Bai looked at the easel beside him, "What are you painting?"
"Nothing much." Lu Xiaojiu replied. She had just sketched the outline of a sunset and some lush trees, but hadn't started on the figures. Lu Bai looked at the easel and was reminded of that photograph.
"If you have this much energy, you might as well sleep." Lu Bai said, "You're the only one in the Prime Minister's Residence who hasn't gone to bed yet."
"The guards haven't slept either." Lu Xiaojiu asked, "Didn't the guards say anything when you were stealing flowers just now?"
"I'm your fiancé, what could they say?"
Lu Xiaojiu said, "Couldn't you have stolen a prettier one? This one's so vibrant, it'll wilt in a couple of days."
"I'll pick one for you every day and bring it over."
Lu Xiaojiu laughed, "Alright, the tulips in the garden downstairs will soon wilt, and the gardener will settle accounts with you."
"No worries, let him."
