The Red Lion Legion took on a rescue mission to free four United States citizens from the hands of the Venezuelan anti-government forces. They had hijacked a tour bus, taken six citizens hostage, and already killed two of them. With the government's armed opposition forces achieving successive victories this year, and no support available from the government forces, and the SEALs needing another day to enter the country, distant water couldn't solve the immediate crisis. General Taylor paid the South American Mercenary Corps, with two mercenary corps to carry out the rescue.
