"Ahem, let's eat before the food gets cold."
Everyone quickly shut their mouths, choosing to eat their food in silence as Sophia ended the conversation.
Ten minutes later...
Just as everyone was about to finish eating dinner, somebody outside suddenly knocked on the front door.
"I'll go answer it."
Alex quickly got up from his seat before heading over to the front door, jumping up to check through the peephole.
To his surprise, Amelia was standing right outside.
"Hello, Auntie Amelia." Alex welcomed her as he opened the door.
"Hey, Alex."
As the two of them hugged, Sophia and Mary immediately got out of their seats and rushed to the doorway.
"Auntie Amelia! I haven't seen you for so long!" Sophia excitedly said out loud as the two of them hugged.
"Not as long as the girl in front of me... Look at you, Sophia, looking like a fully grown woman now."
Sophia blushed as the two separated, letting Amelia turn her attention over to Mary, who was patiently waiting for her turn.
