'What the hell happen now?'
That was Ling Lan's first thought when she looked at the blood covered body of Li Lanfeng leaning on Zhao Jun. Meng Lan had already informed Li Shiyu who was on his way to the main hall.
Looking at the cold face of their Regiment Commander he gulped. "Argument with Lord Kun got a little intense and..."
The air around Ling Lan turned icy "And?"
"We got the negotiation done but Li Lanfeng had to face the full impact of Lord Kun's domain before we could escape..."
The chills dissipated a little as she nodded, acknowledging his words. Standing your ground against a half step god regime master was not easy, specially at Li Lanfeng and Zhao Jun's level.
Her hand subconsciously landed on Lanfeng's shoulder as she moved her energies to examine his body. The injures were severe but mainly external and the newa agent he drank earlier had started taken action.
She nodded - still better than the times he trained with her. As soon as Li Shiyu arrived Li Lanfeng was immediately pulled into the small newly built medical department.

Half-n hour later.
"Boss! I'll be attending you instead of Big brother Li today! Brother Shiyu said he need a day's rest"
Ling Lan looked up at Luo Chao's bright face and felt light hearted. "What about the maids training you started earlier this month? "
"Monthly ones we decided to give them break after the morning training!" Luo Chao grinning arraigning the stack of new papers.

Ling Lan's eyebrow twitched, what's the use of sending off a capable totally fine assistant like Luo Chao and coming in half injured to 'attend' to her.
That reminded her- when did she need an attendant? When did people start attending beside her?
She Looked at Lanfeng's fragile form and huffed mentally. Yes this guy was the one who started this attending business. But looking at his pale beautiful face her heart like always softened a little.
"Ling Lan....." Li Lanfeng whispered as his head came to rest on Ling Lan's chest. She could only sigh at his behavior. After all it was not the first time he was hugging her like this. That reminded her Li Lanfeng is the only one who ever had the guts to act like this and hug her among all her subordinated and little brothers and sisters.
Her hand automatically landed to Lanfeng's waist, the other one rubbing his back in comforting manner . "Does it still hurt? Why don't you go back and rest a little, even Shiyu's recovery agents need time to act"
"Hmm.....But I feel more safe around you, plus I don't like them looking at my weak form like this...." Li Lanfeng tightened his grip on Ling Lan's waist and sighed, there was a small traitorous smile on his lips which he hid from her.
Ling Lan's eyebrows twitched 'Doesn't like them looking at his weak for? Haa...what do you think you usually look like? A manly brute? You always look like a little damsel in distress Lanfeng' she thought but then sighed to herself helplessly, he shouldn't say it to this guy's face or else he'll start hating his good looks even more. Beside with his heartbreak and love affair, a beauty throwing to himself to her, it won't hurt her to lend a shoulder to cry on....
Lanfeng's smile widened when he felt Ling Lan's body relaxing after the helpless sighed. 'You pamper me too much Lan'er, I have been holding on for so long but the longer I hold back, the harder I fall for you. I might actually be turning into a person who won't ever let go of you even if you protest otherwise'
His satisfied smile and glimmering dark eyes just made him seem like a seductress who came to topple empires. If someone else was to step into their Boss's office right now, they could have gotten a heart attack.
Boss didn't even hug Luo Chao or Han Xuya! His two beloved fiancee, who is this audacious woman who threw herself at boss?!

Meanwhile...... near the medical clinic....
"Luo Chao? Why are you back so soon? Did boss didn't need you?" Li Shiyu asked pouring her a cup of green tea.
She seemed to be in a daze, "Brother Shiyu do you think Big Leader Li will force boss into doing those kind of things?" she asked a little worried.
Li Shiyu almost stumbled on the plain floor, "Wh-What?!!!! What are you talking about?" he asked after stabilizing himself, "He can't do something forceful! Everything he would do must be with Boss's consent!" he exclaimed trying to convince Luo Chao as well as himself , to preserve the last shred of dignity for his shameless big brother.
"But you don't understand Brother Shiyu, boss is -....! Big Leader Li is so good at scheming what if he tricks boss into thinking that she's in love with him!" she asked a little worried and agitated.
Li Shiyu felt cold sweat running down his back as he thought about the possibility. Could that be the case? Then he shook his head, it couldn't be. Boss is smart enough to know better. "Come on Luo Chao! This is boss you are talking about! If he couldn't ...'handle' big bro- Lanfeng he wouldn't have taken him!"
Poor Li Shiyu he didn't know that Luo Chao's assumptions might be right about Li Lanfeng tricking Ling Lan into turning 'gay'.
Luo Chao sighed "I guess that's true...." She believed in their Boss wholeheartedly, she was just worried because Boss regardless of her icy exterior was still a lady.She might have gotten seduced by Big Leader Li's good looking face.
At the same time she didn't know how right she was.
"And why so suddenly? What has this got to do with you attending Boss?" he continued after having a seat and preparing himself for any more shocking words.
"No.....just because Big Leader Li is so guarded against anyone coming near boss....and today when he came to the office after getting injured, to attend boss ---"
"Wait! What?! 'Today' when he came? He's suppose to be in the healing pod, he was alost on the brink of death when Zhao Jun brought him here!"
"Oh.....no after an hour he came to the office and dismissed me on the pretext I must go and help you with your new medical treatment."
Li Shiyu's eyebrows twitched as he held in the scream that erupted in his head, 'LI LANFENG!!!!!!!'
'Is this the responsible elder brother he is suppose to be? Does he realize how much work I have to do in order to repair his broken body? Does he realize how much stress he gives me just so he can have his alone time with the Boss?!' Li Shiyu gritted his teeth as he thought of this but then a sly smile formed on his face, Dr.Frankistine had finally learned something from his 'big brother '
'I bet Boss doesn't know he escaped from the medical facility without my permission'
