With a rustle of a few leaves, Uchiha Shishui arrived at the cliff of the Naka River.
He looked at the trees and the stream flowing beneath the cliff with complex emotions and melancholy. He normally comes to this place everytime to train with Uchiha Itachi, with truly unforgettable memories. Itachi was suited to Shuriken play and Genjutsu while he was more suited with Taijutsu and Ninjutsu.
Of course this was not a lie since Uchiha Shishui's speciality relied heavily on speed and close combat. This is why he was known as Shishui of the Body Flicker. As for Itachi….
Shishui quietly looked at the peaceful environment as if to engrave this scene in his mind. It was one of the few places he could feel peace and be at ease.
Suddenly Shishui had this bizarre thought; 'It won't be bad to die here….'
Shishui who completely let down his guard didn't notice a vague shadow lurking directly under the Naka cliff!
This was naturally Hyuga Akihiko who had already been here for a long time.
Immediately Danzo and his Root departed, Akihiko decided to come to this place and bide his time. Why would he go through the trouble of hiding his tracks as he monitors the battlefield? Isnt it better to just go to a place that Shishui is guaranteed to appear at?
However, Hyuga Akihiko would have never expected that the timeline had already began to change slowly…
In the original, Danzo had to use the Izanagi after Shishui effortlessly subdued him. This was not all, as in the original, Danzo only left with 3 elite Jonins with him. He didn't want to expose this to Hiruzen therefore he went with a small amount of people. However now that Akihiko's presence was involved, Danzo felt that even if Hiruzen knew, nothing will happen to him!
And even if Hiruzen did want to do something, he could use Akihiko to temporarily keep Hiruzen busy before he strikes. He was confident that with Akihiko he could take over the Leaf Village so far as Hyuga Akihiko became a Kage level expert. This in turn led Danzo to take all his Jonins to the battlefield! Therefore Shishui was quickly subdued and there was no need to use the Izanagi!
Well, even if Hyuga Akihiko knew what happened because of him, he wouldn't care too much! He already expected something like this to happen when he came to this world! It was impossible to follow the original script so far as he came here, except he chose to remain mediocre and ultimately die under Pain's attack or Sasuke's attack or any other mayhem out there.
As a god, it was obviously impossible for him to become mediocre! He has his own prioritries and he cannot leave his fate to some Son of Prophecy. Apart from that he aimed to chat with legendary creatures like Sun Wukong; The Monkey King, Mighty Cultivators like Li Qiye, Long Aotian, Long Chen, Xiao Yi, Damien, Mighty gods like Shiva, Ahura Mazda, Buddha, Brahma, Odin, Zeus maybe even Cthulhu, not to die by the hands of a self proclaimed 'god'!
Therefore, Akihiko would be even more delighted once things change! Even if he would loose the advantage of having future information, all those were trivial in front of true strength! No matter what happens, he could solve them because of overwhelming strength, therefore he was looking forward to it.
Swoosh….
A figure materialized facing Uchiha Shishui's back. Uchiha Shishui who knew someone had arrived, did not turn back but stood still as he continued to admire the scenery.
"Shishui-nee what happened!" Itachi Uchiha anxiously voiced out with concern as he scanned the visage of Uchiha Shishui. From his clothes and obvious signs he knew that Shishui had been in battle! To have a battle in Konoha was unheard of, this means something bad must have happened!
"Sorry to bother you!" Shishui responded as he slowly turned around to face Itachi!
Seeing Shishui's face, Itachi's demeanor turned grim. He saw constant blood dropping from the left side of his face as there was a missing eye in his socket!
"Who did this to you!" Itachi was alarmed in shock as he saw such a grim sight! He knew that his brother has the Mangyekou Sharingan and it will not be easy to fight such an opponent and even inflict such damage!
"Unfortunately, the Root is involved and it seems that its impossible to stop the coup planned by the clan!" Shishui spoke wearily, it seems that he was already tired of everything.
"If internal warefare breaks out in the Leaf, then the other villages will not sit still and will most likely invade Konoha. If this happens, the Leaf village will certainly be destroyed!" After a short break, Shishui took a deep breath before continuing…..
"I was planning on using the Koto-Amatsukami to stop the coup….but Danzo took my right eye for he didn't trust what I was going to do! And he will resort to anything to protect Konoha even killing a fellow villager is not a problem!"
"So what are you going to do right now?" Itachi asked calmly. He knew that if Danzo is involved then there was nothing much that could be done.
"They are coming after my left eye too, so before that happens…." Before Itachi could react, Shishui forcefully dug out his left eye causing blood to constantly flow through his whole face!
Itachi was shocked by Shishui's decisiveness. If he was the one in Shishui's place he wont be so sure if he could do the same! Shishui calmy handed his left eye to Itachi showing unwavering resolve. Itachi, seeing this could not help but hesitate. However, when he saw Shishui's determined look he steeled his resolve and took it.
"I want you to keep this as a gift from me to you. You could always use it if you want, I have to apologize since I can't be with you through all this." Shishui hugged Itachi briefly before taking one step back revealing a smile on his bloody face.
"I entrust Konoha and the Uchiha will unto you…"
"Wait, Shishui-nee what are you saying? I'll take you back for treatment, so don't say things like this!" Itachi said anxiously, he didn't know that Shishui had already planned to die! When Shishui said he couldn't be with him, he just thought that the cause was his severe injuries!
Listening to Itachi, Shishui smiled like a bright sun showing profound emotion. He already knew that he had no hope of surving this. With profound blood loss, no chakra to suppress the poison and severe backlash from using the Susanoo with one eye, he was already a lost cause! Not even Tsunade could help him now, not to talk of any other Uchiha member.
"I'm sorry Itachi. I don't have much time left…." Taking a deep breath, Shishui steeled his resolve before taking two of his fingers and tapping them on Itachi's forhead. With a smile, Shishui fell backwards under the cliff! He had taken a free fall giving Itachi no time to react.
"Shishui-nee!!!!!" Itachi screamed as he saw his brother commit suicide! Clenching his hands, tearing his flesh until it drew blood. Grinding his teeth, Itachi fell on his knees and wept blood! Itachi stayed in this posture for over an hour before slowly standing up!
In his bloody eyes, a black shuriken slowly rotated in the red iris!
Mangyekou Sharingan!!
Taking one deep look at the Naka River, Itachi swiftly departed….
It wont be long before the death of Shishui would be publicized and the Uchiha would not sit still.

Hyuga Akihiko arrived in the Forest of Death after a short one minute run. On his back lay Uchiha Shishui who was believed to be dead! Akihiko took him for an experiment. Though he looks dead, there is still a breath of life in him so Akihiko wanted to use him well.
Entering his makeshift lair, Akihiko dropped Shishui carefully on the floor. After an examination with the Byakugan, Akihiko frowned. He didn't know that the damage suffered by the body was this bad! He had ruptured lungs, an infested liver, poison almost near the heart, massive blood lost and damaged chakra veins. This damage was too much, Akihiko even doubted Tsunade's ability to heal this if she was really here!
Anyway, he didn't want to heal him in the first place so he didn't mind too much.
Taking a deep breath, Akihiko quickly entered the state of absolute focus as he drew all his chakra and spiritual energy out!
This was the first time he had drawn out his whole arsenal of energy!
Placing one hand on Shishui's head, an errie purple light shown before slowly resciding like a tide.
In Akihiko's hand now lay a murky white light that constantly wriggled around.
Shishui's soul!
Akihiko wanted to test if it was possible to take a soul since it was almost a basic ability of a god! With this experiment, a lot of information was gleamed. It is not possible to take the soul of a living person! However because Shishui was already on his way to death, the obstruction of rules were very weak and he could bypass those with a massive amount of spiritual energy! The reason why Akihiko didn't want to wait until Shishui's death was because of the priority of Death!
This means that once a person dies, the Soul automatically belongs to the Pure Land, therefore if Akihiko wants to take that soul, he would be directly encroaching on the Rules of the Pure Land and may face a counterattack. There was only one way of taking a soul from the hands of the Pure Land in the Shinobi universe. This was through the Rinnegan or maybe a Six Path Technique fuelled with Six Path Chakra! Elder Chiyo's forbidden technique does not count since that was basically an exchange…..
Akihiko was not ready to antagonize the Pure Land over some soul especially when he's not strong enough! So he didn't take such a huge risk! Being the enemy of the World's Will was already enough trouble, who knew what the Pure Land would do to him when provoked? Also its important to note that the enemy of my enemy is my friend; therefore it won't be suprising if the World's Will and the Pure Land join forces to kill him!!
This will be the last thing he would want to happen at this point in time! Akihiko had already thought about all of these when he was hiding under the Naka cliff! Even if this was a little bit paranoid but prevention is better than cure!
Weighing the wiggling ball in his hands, Akihiko didn't hesitate to swallow it immediately!
He had found out that the Rules of Death had already locked on to this location and he didn't have any other way of preserving a soul. Figuring out that he had already taken considerable measures to get this soul, he didn't want to lose it to the Pure Land!
He didn't swallow it per-say, but he put it inside his soul. His soul was unnaturally massive so he bound the soul inside his.
This was not devouring or anything like that, it was more like his personal way of preservation from the Rules of Death! By hiding with a god who also represented a Rule this is very possible! Infact if Akihiko were even more powerful he could scold the power of death in this world a little!
Everthing was relative, the strong bully the weak and so on and so forth. Fooling death and rebirth could be possible only in planes, universes or even multiverses where the rules are weak and the perpetrators had enough strength to counteract the backlash!
It won't be possible for him to take a soul in the Marvel or DC universe because the entities embodying those rules will…..
Death, Hela, Hades, Anubis, Mictlantecutli, Shinigami, Osiris, Ereshkigal, Pluto, Thanatos, Yama, Ah Puch, Ankou, Dea Tacita, Erlik, Hel with 20 more. Tch that is basically asking for 'Death'.
Therefore all those novels or comics where death and life could be reversed are just weak! The word 'weak' can be relative. A protagonist can have such a huge amount of luck that once used as 'payment' this transgression can be overlooked. The universe coud be very powerful but due to this, other rules are severly weakened like Dragon Ball!
There are many other cases such as the entity of death in that certain place is lazy, doesn't care, nonchalant, weak, sleeping, or even dead! The death of Death! {AN:Lol!!}
So it can be inferred through this that the Rules of the Pure land is not that strong. Its power ceiling is at the Super Kage level, a little below the Six Path level. This explains why the Rinnegan which is a Six Path Level Doujutsu could effectively bypass or 'bully' death.
Its not certain that the Rinnegan would still be able to reverse life and death when introduced into another Multiverse!!
