Zugiy watched the alien duo ahead, his eyes assessing every move they made. He knew something was wrong but, as usual, he didn't pay much attention. He simply followed in silence, his presence almost imperceptible to the others.
As the group walked through the dark corridors of the building, Melissa kept a fixed gaze on the female alien. Something about her behavior unsettled her. Every gesture, every word, sounded false to Melissa, which only heightened her suspicion.
"This woman isn't trustworthy," Melissa muttered disdainfully to Rosvaldo.
Rosvaldo nodded but kept his focus on the path ahead. He also felt that something was off but wanted to avoid unnecessary conflicts until he was sure.
Finally, the female alien stopped in front of a large metal door. She turned to the group with a cold smile on her face.
"Well, we've arrived. The girl is just behind this door," the female alien announced with a frosty grin.
Victor, impatient, stepped forward, but Melissa grabbed his arm, her expression serious.
"Wait. I don't like this," Melissa said distrustfully.
Before anyone could react, the female alien made a quick gesture with one of her four arms, and the sound of hurried footsteps filled the corridor. From all directions, henchmen began to appear, surrounding the group of humans.
"You humans are so predictable. Did you really think you could come here and just take the girl? How naïve," the female alien mocked with a triumphant tone.
The stone alien beside her let out a guttural laugh, his fists clenched, ready to crush anyone who approached.
"Finally, some fun! Let's see how tough you really are," the stone alien chuckled.
Rosvaldo, keeping calm, stepped forward, positioning himself between his team and the enemies.
"You're not leaving here unscathed. If you want to fight, we'll give you what you asked for," Rosvaldo stated firmly.
Melissa, already anticipating a trap, activated her earth powers, causing the ground beneath her to tremble slightly, ready to react.
"I knew we shouldn't have trusted her," Melissa declared with determination.
Victor, fire in his eyes and fists, gave a confident smile.
"I said we should have dealt with this from the start. Now they're going to learn not to underestimate humans," Victor exclaimed heatedly.
Mel, a bit nervous, held her energy weapons, trying to stay calm.
"We're surrounded, but we still have the advantage. Let's end this quickly," Mel said, worried but focused.
Zugiy, as always silent, simply looked at the group of henchmen and then at the female alien. He already knew what was coming and was ready to use his gravity ability to turn the situation around.
The tension was about to explode when suddenly, an even more intense presence filled the environment. The heavy sound of footsteps echoed through the corridors, and the henchmen, once confident, now seemed hesitant. Even the female alien, so full of herself, instinctively recoiled, fear taking over her face.
From behind the henchmen emerged an imposing figure. He was gigantic, carrying multiple weapons that seemed almost organic, as if they were part of his own body. His large, sharp teeth gleamed in a cruel smile as he approached slowly, an aura of power and malice emanating from every movement.
"Well, well, what do we have here? Intruding humans who think they can just invade my territory and take what they want. How adorable," the Leader Apsy commented with a sarcastic and contemptuous tone.
The henchmen cleared a path, clearly fearing the alien leader. The very air seemed heavier, as if his presence drained the energy from the environment.
"So, you're the boss of these useless ones? Let me guess... you thought you could resolve everything with a bit of diplomacy? Ah, humans always so pathetic with their idea that everyone can be convinced with words," the Leader Apsy continued, focusing his gaze on Rosvaldo.
Rosvaldo remained steadfast, unshaken by the leader's provocations. His eyes narrowed, assessing the situation.
"I didn't come here to waste words. If you want to fight, we'll fight. But know that I won't let you get away with this betrayal," Rosvaldo said calmly but firmly.
The Leader Apsy laughed loudly, a sound that echoed through the walls, resonating like a thunder of malice.
"Oh, I like you. So direct, so determined. But you still don't understand, do you? To me, this is nothing but a game. And you, my dear, are playing on my board," declared the Leader Apsy, still sarcastic.
He made a hand gesture, and immediately the 50 henchmen advanced, surrounding the group of humans. The Leader Apsy stepped back to watch the fight, clearly disdainful of the idea of getting his hands dirty.
"Enjoy yourselves, my minions. Let's see how strong these humans really are," ordered the Leader Apsy with contempt.
The battle began with a bang. Victor was the first to react, his fists already ablaze. He charged forward with speed, firing streams of fire that spread like a storm, knocking down the henchmen trying to surround him.
"You want to play? Let's see who burns first," Victor shouted.
Rosvaldo, alongside Victor, activated his metal abilities. His hands transformed into sharp, resilient blades, cutting through the ranks of enemies with deadly precision.
"Don't let any of them through. Finish this quickly," Rosvaldo ordered, focused.
Melissa, using her earth power, raised a stone barrier to protect Mel, while crushing the henchmen that approached with large pillars rising from the ground.
"Let's not make it easy for them. Let's finish this," Melissa said, determined.
Mel, a bit nervous but resolute, created energy weapons that fired powerful projectiles, taking down henchmen from a distance while keeping the closer ones under control.
"They're many, but they're not indestructible," Mel said, trying to stay calm.
Zugiy, always calm and reserved, seemed distracted but his instincts were sharp. When the henchmen tried to attack him, he activated his gravity ability, forcing them to fall to the ground, unable to get up, as if being crushed by an invisible force.
"It's not worth wasting unnecessary effort," Zugiy remarked, calm and almost unconcerned.
The fight was intense, but one by one, the henchmen fell. Despite their strength, they couldn't overcome the teamwork and skill of the humans. In no time, the 50 henchmen were defeated, many unconscious on the ground, others fleeing as they could.
The Leader Apsy, who had been watching everything, stopped laughing. His smile faded into a look of disdain, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes.
"Perhaps I underestimated these humans... But don't worry, I'll correct that soon," the Leader Apsy murmured to himself.
