Opening my palm from a distance, I cover her far off figure from my vision with my hand. Clasping my fingers tight, her figure explodes into a spray of blood. I then clap my palms together, enveloping this dark space with ceaseless light, vaporising her remains. An arm pierced through my neck, every surface bloodied in a dim crimson before fastening its fingers around my cheekbones.
*crunch!*
Like a stack of crushed ice cream cones or a block of clay hammered into dust, unsettling agonising pain assaults my nerves in a deluge of suffering. The fingers dig into my eyes, nose, mouth, and with a single swipe, it rips it right off my neck. One of my eyes had popped and the other is covered by that ghastly red palm, however at this point... The body is just a decoration. I don't need to see with my eyes or any organ to take the information of my surroundings. I select the body instead of the mangled head, and my new head regrew from that hideously disfigured stump.
My old head lacking any divine protection, is crushed by the pressure of this space into imperceptible dust, then erased without a trace. Even a dirty chunk of meat and bone like that likely contains so much magic that mortals could only dream of possessing it, it might present a breakthrough into forbidden magic or even the divine. It's good etiquette to dispose of such things. My dress flaps softly as I shifted my position, physically I can travel as far as I want and in any direction. Rules no longer bound even my physical movements, walking through walls much less curving my leaping trajectory was a given.
My pale bone hued gloved fist rushes to meet its target, approaching the Primordial Shadow's cheek. She cuts across with a knife hand formed from her left hand, stopping the attack dead in its tracks. Only we could do such varied attacks in this space, most gods only have one authority or concept to attack with. Our own authorities might be singular too, but they take on the shape of other authorities. Such as ultraviolence, calamity, destruction. We split apart, putting distance between us. She shapes her fingers like a hollow triangle with me in inside. I twirl my left hand to make a binocular symbol with my fingers, similarly with her in sight.
Two red flowers bloom in adjacent. Entrails and skin sheets fly into the air before turning into dust spread infinitely far apart. Just how long will we keep this up? Forever? That seems to be the case. The fight here will never end. Even I am hard press to say whether I can beat her or not. It's already established that she's unbeatable, regardless, I have to move forward. Not out of necessity or symbolism, but out of choice.
A great sword rests in my palms, facing my foe with its tip. Black blades fly out of barren space, twisting and turning around the great sword to pierce my flesh. With a swing, the great sword shatters all the floating blades, even the ones behind me. One swing is all I need, a brilliant flash of light emanates from the edge drawing a bisecting plane that cuts this dimension in two. The realm shivers like an uncontrollable earthquake, with a swift snap of her fingers it stops.
"... Good you're improving. You grow through battle and there's no limit to your growth.
You will keep getting stronger until you defeat your opponent. The absolute worst enemy you could possibly get, the simplest way to deal with you is to crush you while the gap is still sufficient. It's too bad. I am the exact same. " (Primordial)
So we'll test how much exactly you can still grow. It's as if she was provoking me in that manner. She clasps the air with her right hand while concealing what it held with her left, then she extended her left hand towards her left like a magician revealing their wand. Only this time, it was a pitch black rapier. Despite this space having no light, somehow... The rapier seemed darker. As if it was sucking the light out of my eyes, impairing my vision. I gather that if this rapier was summoned on earth, that is exactly what would occur. The world's light would be gone. The universe will be ebbed in darkness, all energy and life stolen. It's only on the edge of the universe beyond observation where this weapon could be safely brandished.
No good, it's on another level. Just by existing it could tear through concepts and inflict death even on unkillable beings. For those whose death no longer exist, their inexistence will be created. Inhibition, interruption, interference, by all measures the victim would be dead. With a single swing from her, my being dissolves. With 'attack priority' it would take effect first before any move I make, and with 'fate lock' I can't interfere with time and send a parrying attack from future or past.
"Is that what you believe?" (Giselle)
"... How? This rapier is the actualisation of my being, in simple terms it's stronger than even me." (Primordial)
"I took a page out of your playbook. Strictly speaking, you are not the Primordial one born at the zenith of the origin era. You are a manifestation of her shadow, her likeness, rumours, and gossip given form. Who knows if the real deal is actually stronger than you, maybe she's already dead. In other words, you are a materialisation of information, namely myths. Like me. " (Giselle)
The Shadow's shadow was already on the level of a average deity, able to express at least a single authority. The Shadow's Fragment could express numerous authorities, a being on par with the chieftain gods of major pantheons. Lastly, the shadow herself over here belongs to a brand new tier above even pantheons, I would dub them universe killers. It's said that in the past, a group of universe killers might have targeted this native universe. They usually come from other worlds and have records of erasing said worlds. I can only reason that...
"The real deal defeated a group of universe killers, she's definitely stronger than I am since this rapier is the strongest part of my arsenal. She created the rapier, and after tempering in so much blood and magic it became an artifact of its own. You can say it gained sufficient data to construct something unique. " (Primordial)
That's why it's even more vexing for her that I survived, even if by sheer technicality. She isn't wrong, the rapier absolutely annihilated Giselle. There's nothing left of her. However, Giselle is fundamentally an information entity. A power born from {Yggdrasil}, copy and paste. The universe will recognise the new copy as a fundamentally distinct individual, escaping the rapier's targeting.
"How? You should have..." (Primordial)
This was the first time her facade of confidence crumbled.
"Back up data got saved to the cloud. If you wish to kill me, you should erase all records of 'Yggdrasil'." (Giselle)
I reiterate, it was straight out of her playbook.
