"And since they were always collecting a lot of those that were supposed to be ours, we nearly didn't survive when the long winter came, so we left after that and found this place.
At least in this place, even though there weren't a lot of strong people and we couldn't venture into more dangerous places because of the lack of people who could deal with a lot of trouble, we were still able to live a bit better.
So we didn't leave and continued staying here. We already planned to stay here for a long time because we don't think we could ever go east to where my family is," Beia said and then sighed again with obvious dejection.
"When I saw Nathan a while ago, I was very surprised because I didn't even think that I could meet you guys again because of the distance. I was already thinking that I might be dead today because of those rats that suddenly came here," Beia added afterwards.
