Chapter 2 - Xirol

Michelle had no place to go. She had abandoned her father and know that he stood for and there's no way his men wouldn't tell him and what she did. So she went to the the the only place she could think to be safe at this time. The church under the watch the last of the dusk. She figured it would be a good place to let the boy grow while she figured out her next to move, but with time the Father of the church started to realize who she was The daughter of the primo which meant she had Franco blood surprisingly the father didn't kick her out and the boy he welcomed her. He of course had a dress and work like a nun helping out the orphans, cleaning the church, teaching the orphans and running" errands".

Like today, while she was cleaning up this entryway, the father I met with her to pass along a note. The note simply had a name written on it. She didn't need details nor did you need to question the father. She need only accept it. I did in her Hobbit then continue her day. Once the children are asleep she would go into the night to take one less name off the list of sinners in the world.

In the olden days people would call this xirol's one of the two angels whose job it is to cross off the names of The Departed. Many know in their hearts that this allowed is a sin, but they all believe it's a sending us bear for the people that they must eliminate. The reason why the father accepted her and the boy into the church was because he knew of our Franco's blood which meant he believed she was more than capable of sitting over and over again if it meant she got what she wanted.

Part of her was thankful for the father's willingness but part of her hated this it made her a hypocrite. She ran away from Colton because she refused to kill the boy and now she stars at church to keep the boy alive only to kill more and more people true that people were horrible but who gives them the right to judge a person's life she thought and she stood over the pool while the lifeless body before burning the evidence.

Things were going moderate until things changed. The father approached her and gave her a note but instead of a name it was a place. She knew something was up but she didn't know what. Along with the place was a time it would be later in the evening so she went to do the church's shopping went on the way she meant something surprising or at least it would be surprising if she didn't knew something was up. It was one of our older brothers, the middle child that she wasn't mistaken it in about 4 years since she left the house. His name was Chandler she remembered him from that crazed look he always had.

Chandler: crazy seeing you here little sis.

He said playing with a switchblade while sitting on a wall. Michelle didn't bother looking at him but paused what she was walking.

Michelle: since you're here, that means father is making his move.

Chandler: who knows but I get hear he got a lovely little tip in exchange for donation.

Michelle: why are you telling me this.

Chandler: I'm a big bro. I can't just let dear old pops bully you and you're nothing.

He said while laughing as if hearing a very funny joke before falling over the other side of the wall snow laughing away. Ignoring that entire interaction. Michelle continued walking with a purpose. She had a place to be in and that place was a diner a popular diner in this side of town. Funny! NFL at this time of day there were no customers which was true. There were people sitting at tables, enjoying meals but no customers. How could you tell just one look at them and she knew they were all Lucio's Members of dusk.

She immediately knew that whatever this meeting was about it wasn't good. The job she was asked to do. She always knew what being handed down by dusk through the father but you you did them anyways. So the fact of that someone from desk wants to chat means she's either doing too good of a job or someone's got a problem with how she's doing her job.

She surveyed the diner and smarted where she knew she had to sit. After all, it was just one well-built man sitting in a chair, enjoying a steak with mashed potatoes and gravy without a care in the world, yet clearly another spot prepared for a guest you was expecting in an empty seat.

She walked over there and took the seat sitting down. The man didn't pay her any mind nor did you deny her the right to sit. He simply enjoyed a steak and took a sip of wine. Then when he had us feel he looked around the eyes.

???: so should I call you? Michelle or sister?

Michelle took a drink of wine herself as a sign of respect.

Michelle: Michelle's fine, but I am curious what's a Lucio with someone he clearly knows he's a Franco descent.

The man gave out a light chuckle and then snapped his fingers and a server came over. He pointed to a couple of things on the menu and then shoot them away.

???: let's not be cute little lady. We both know that at the right you're going you would have been a Lucio yourself.

Michelle accepted the meal prepared by the server picked out by the man and took a few bits.

Michelle: would have been huh. Do I at least get a name from the the kind sir who will be doing me in.

The man shook his head and lifted his hands up in a offense.

Dawn: I think you're mistaken. We of the dusk have no no problems with you to be frank. You're doing a great job. Thanks to you, things have been a lot more under control lately which is why we wanted to give you a heads up. A friendly court as you just someone we consider our own and you can just call me Dawn.

Michelle then took a whiff of the wine before taking another sip.

Michelle: then it's my father.

With that statement the Don's eyebrow shot up.

Michelle: an older sibling of mines tipped me off.

Dawn: ah and this next bar is going to sting a bit. I need you to take the plunge.

Michelle didn't react but her eyes narrowed at this reaction. Everyone in the diner stiffened but the dawn lifted one hand signaling them to stand down. Then they all relaxed.

Dawn: that self-estrain of yours is one of the things I love about you, which is why I'll miss it when you're gone. But please understand I'm not saying this out of malice we ran the numbers we thought about stepping in, but if you thought back you'd put those kids in danger. Especially the one you're your itching to protect. If you let them escape them, plan to escape yourself. Your father's wrath would not only stretch towards gaming you back but also lead to him trying off the kid again which could cause more damage fact. Is you going down's the best move?

Michelle thought about it for a minute she contemplated every scenario and then she contemplated where Fathers ego no matter what move she made against her. Hate the lash out with twice as much fury and the collateral wouldn't be gray. Fighting back would make more enemies then it's worth and the reason why she did this in the first place in the process. She shook her head and then she got up.

Seeing this everyone around the room started to stiffen again with the primo raised his hand. Once more, just tell them to stand down.

Michelle: thanks for the final meal. Pleasure meeting you.

Dawn: just so you know, the father sold you out. He plans to drug your meal tonight. Then while you passed out he and the sisters will leave everyone but you and the boy in the church for your father to deal with. As a last bit of respect for you will take the boy to safety.

She didn't say a word. Just got up and left.

That night the father insisted she didn't cook by and stay enjoy and meal with the other sisters. When our plate was sewed, she gave him have immediately pick up the smell of some drug The nun Pat her on the back. She recognized the negroserved it immediately one of the members of dusk who would often run errands with her. Then she noticed the father watching with with Greek concern at her her without hesitation to down the meal in its entirety then went to bed feeling the drug kicking. After that things went dark.

Soon the fog started to clear. She suddenly tried to move her arms noticing the metal restraints. Then she felt that her entire body was restrained by metal and she was sitting in. Something made a iron then the fox started to clear in her head held immense pain. She struggled to open her eyes and before her wasn't enclosed to room only one entrance and a skylight. She was one of the seclusion sanctuaries at the church giving the Angels while all four corners then she noticed standing in black against the walls armed and ready for anything and finally a man she knew since birth walking up to her.

Primo: so the disappointments finally awake. You know I've often told you. I don't appreciate backstabbers and I guess I never told you what I do to them. Well now is a good time as they need to give you that lesson.

At his words one of The Men in Black walked up to her and held out a full body mirror. She was bound into a chair of metal with iron shackles on her arms and legs that were both screwed and welled into the chair and then on her head was a spiked crown made of iron as well. But you could tell from the sensation that the spikes weren't just on the outside. They were digging into her skull at the very moment.

If that was all though she would just suspect them to torture to death but they were cover cables tied to each point of spike and the little effort she gets to get the cables were being fed into a light switch over the wall. She then concluded she would be electrocuted to death.

Since that's the case, he must not have the spare resources to take her back and torture her.

Primo: since you were technically my favorite child, I'll give you fair death.

With those words he pointed towards the man next to the light switch, he flipped it and rolled out the rolled ran through her body. Bring first thin nerves that flash. It felt like an uncontrollable itch that was tearing her apart no matter how much she wanted to her tried to scratch, she just didn't satisfy it and was steadily losing control of her body. She found everything go white.

Then she was some place else she definitely was not anywhere in the church. She would clean that place top to bottom and knew just about every room minus the basement. The father didn't like people going in the basement but this was definitely not they're too white and bright. She then picked up on some clouds behind her and things started to clear. She was back in the room alone. It appears that both her father and his men were gone but she was still hooked up to the machine. It's likely her father expects the people of the church to clean up and get rid of her body. Thanks. Looking at her that was blood coming out of her eyes and mouth and if it wasn't for what they were strengths she would have been swayed out. Not even sitting in the chair as she was served your final moments. Feathers started falling from the sky and she looked up the skylight was still closed it was a beautiful night but no birds in the sky and no opening for feather stuff all through. She looked around in curiosity and then she spotted it which be more precise him, an angel wearing in assert mostly fit as if he's only wearing it because he was told it was professional and not at all because he believes in the professionalism. It's supposedly brings he was sitting rather LAX as if watches gave drama at home on top of an angel stature staring at a list. :

???: Time and time again. Father shows Mercy even when he punishes those filthy frankos still he still shows leniency letting two of them survive yet still they continue to blight his blessed land.

He miter to himself disdain filled in his voice.

Michelle: your xirol Right

The angel looked at the wayward soul.

Xirol: indeed, I am the angel who watches the passing of sinners you know of my work.

Michelle: there isn't a center out there who doesn't know of what you do.

Xirol: now I have sinners talking about me. Now my day is ruined.

Michelle: rather than talk about you, they fear mentioning you knowing what you stand for.

Xirol: Good. At least they know their place.

He finally finds her name in the list and prepares to mark it off.

Michelle: so I guess this is the part. Why are you mark my name off and I will fall.

Xirol: indeed that's usually how this goes. What I do say it's rare to see someone who's both Franco's and Mino.

Michelle: what's a mino.

She said with slight curiosity. The angel stopped for a moment from crossing our name off just yet and looked at her in mild amusement.

Xirol: it's quite arrogant to assume Franco and Milo as well as that entire wretched family we're the only ones to grab father's attention.

He then took a moment to rub his chin pondering something.

Xirol: you know, despite that disgusting blood of yours, I find you quite agreeable. So I'll offer you something. How's about? I tear your name off of my list Doom so what prevents you from ever dying so long as it never rejoins in exchange. Whenever you hear my voice was burning into your ear. You will kill them in my name. Sound fair.

Michelle looked to the Angel without hesitation.

Michelle: I'd rather not.

Xirol: why I know your past you've killed for less in the name of that boy. Why not for me.

Michelle: I've killed many for the sake of that boy. That part is true but I would rather not go around slaying innocence as well as guilties just because an angel said they're bad.

At those words xirol cracked a genuine smile. He then ripped her name from his list. The page turned black and her name turned white then said.

Xirol: you in luck then. There's not a single name. I know that hasn't already sent since that is only job I do.

Well then plucked a feather from his wing and dropped it down falling into the wayward spirit that was Michelle with it. Part of our story attached to our body

Michelle: so I don't even get a chance to refuse.

Xirol: why I wait for lies when your eyes tell me all I need to know. By the way, those whose names are no longer on this list aren't human. Just a little advice but don't worry about the church. My father she'll make you in it seen as an ally rather than a foe. I believe they call it a blessing.

At that he disappeared in a gust of wind. Without any instruction she was unsure how to return to her body. She saw that she now had a a tail leading into herself in place of the legs she once had so she figured she'd just call him in. She started to reach in with her arms but was repelled to a surprise her own body rejected her. Then her eyes shot open and she jumped out of the chair bringing the shackles on her arms and legs with her. Her body didn't even bleed from the iron crown on her head. She looked around in pure confusion watching her body move independently. She couldn't help but feel a wave of frustration.

Michelle: not only do I have to figure out a way out of here, but now my body seems to have developed independence.

Her ears switched in her body, tore the door off of the exit and walked through it. I'm sure what was happening. Michelle vandered her body in the next room. She found that the church was burning a lot. Almost everything was on fire. Even the statues of angels in the cross es each day.

Her body looked at the statue that was burning and tried to smack her with the flames. Her hand been caught on fire. Shapes are up in the flame and smack it out and continued.

Michelle: would you knock that off? It's too dangerous to stay here.

She shot in frustration at how hopeless she felt. Her body's ear is twitched again at this response and started heading towards the exit.

Michelle: okay so I guess my body just listens to commands now. I'm really starting to get fed up with this angel stuff.

As they exited the church, they found two men sitting in lawn chairs watching the church burn.

Without even thinking about it, she immediately knew these were her father's lackeys and out of nowhere she started hearing what sounded like children singing, then a whisper startles her.

Xirol: Ronnie.

Heather: when am I supposed to go find this? Ronnie guy.

Xirol: oh I search for something that's right in front of you.

Heather's body: RONNIE!!!

Ronnie: shoots she's alive. Wait why is she calling my name.

Heather: xirol why is my body doing that?

Xirol: it would appear as part of our agreement and abnormality, it seems to have formed between you and your body. You're not body is now a shell of memories. Try as your soul is linked but never connected. Of course there could be more to it.

Michelle looked around trying to find where the angel was hiding.

Michelle: why do you sound uncertain and where are you.

Xirol: back in heaven you meeting me face to face was purely just me stepping out for fresh air and I'm not sure because blessings aren't something Angels determined. It's something you yourself have a perspective on.

Whoops! Michelle was starting to get annoyed. This Angel was dodging all of her questions. Meanwhile her body was running up to the tall guy with this saw.

She managed to sock Ronnie in the gut sending him flying backwards with his saw.

Ronnie: man Richie, she really knows how to throw a punch.

He said rubbing his gut.

Richie: you okay? Ronnie, you need some help with this one.

He's sad pulling out a pistol he had in his coat.

Ronnie waved it off taking position with his saw. Michelle notices what's going on and immediately starts freaking out.

Michelle: what the heck she's attacking him she can't use my fighting experience without me and there to guide her.

As she said that her body begins to take up boxing position. Something like you, what she was taught by her father. Then marush is in and starts punching him in the gut repeatedly feeling the damage. Ronnie swings down the saw striking at Michelle's back. Bought her body leans back guarding with her arms using the cuff as a way to flect then goes back in for a few more strikes. Richie lines up a shot.

Richie: sorry man but you don't look like you're doing too hot. I'm just going to help you out.

Michelle: behind you.

Michelle's body's ears twitch. She immediately turned around just as the bullet fires and God with her right arm deflecting the bullet off of the shackles from the chair. Her body starts to zero in on Richie to take him out before he could load another shot but Ronnie comes in at her blind spot she manages to pull back guarding against the strike but Ronnie's 's has another shot loaded and is aiming to fire Michelle's soul starts feeling frustrated at her helplessness.

Michelle: can't get my bodies to exposed on its own. Only I could help.

In her frustration she picks up a rock on the ground and throws it. It skips a few feet behind Richie. Richie turns his head around looking see who did that but couldn't spot anybody. Michelle was surprised by this.

Xirol: finally, I was wondering why you haven't been using your blessing.

Michelle glared up at the sky but didn't have time to humor him Where'd you return just focus towards aiming his gun at at Michelle's body which was fighting on two fronts Michelle's soul knew she needed a hurry. She looked around and then saw a piece of the building that was starting to crumble. She stuck her hands through the wall and started focusing with all of our might The piece of wall started to like it was a part of her her. She then swung her arms launching the broken off piece of wall at Richie before he had tundra react the wall smashed into him he was down and bleeding.

Michelle: I did not mean to do that. I meant to knock him out.

Xirol: relax, it's fine. He was on the list.

Michelle: then why didn't you announce him?

Xirol: because my plan was for you to kill Ronnie then escape and then we would work your way up to killing multiple people on the list at a time. But this is a win all the same.

But you couldn't keep our focus on him for long. Ronnie had her body in the robes she was getting punches in but it was tanking them and he was hacking his song at. Most of the strikes are getting to our cops, but the other strikes are starting to hit her body More and more.

Michelle looked around trying to find something she could do. She then looked at the rubble that fell from the walls you just ripped out. It was a lot of large chills here. She dived into the huge pile of rubble. Out of pure intuition, the rebel formed into a giant fest. It then flew at Ronnie at full speed knocking him office feet the hand made of rubble then grabbed him before he could fall and clinched him in its fist. I'm in Michelle's body, walked up to him and started punching him repeatedly until both his face and her fists or nothing but an unidentifiable mesh of blood and meat then.

Xirol: All right. His names crossed off. You can stop but if I were you and yourself I had to get out of there. Looks like the buyer Drew in a crowd.

With his words, Michelle's body started looking around as if on alert for something Michelle's soul started to rise up into the air to get a better view. She spotted a group of wagons heading her way realizing that nothing good will come from her sticking around she spots a manhole cover near the for Church's entrance.

Michelle: down here!

She called to her body, her body's ears twitched and then she turned into the direction of the manhole cover then walked over and dived down.

20 minutes later...

Two wagons pull up at the burning Church. The first wagon is a group of police officer here to investigate the second wagon. A nun and a priest exit. The priest looked up at the still burning Church then looks at the nut who has a water check in her waist The nun stairs blankly at the fire the priest then coughs the none looks and I'm confused. He looks at her jug. She looks at it. He then looks at the fire. She looks at it. He then looks back at her. She's staring confused from it. Thought about it. Then, finally, something clicked she opened up the jar and stuck her finger above it. A small bead of water came from outside the jug. She then held it before her and the droplet of water turned into a ball of water. She which she launched at The burning Church. dowzing out the fire completely.

Priest: better late than never.

He said as he started walking into the building he can immediately tell that whoever started the fire was trying to be very thorough. He pulled out his scripture that he held at his side and opened the book as you walked around looking around he just turned and he stared at things them pages. Then he entered a disturbing room. At first glance, anyone who's been in the church could clearly identify it as an isolation prayer chamber. Much. What was disturbing? Was the chair the kind normally installed in prisons for executions and tortures? He held out his book. Several pages started to turn into arrested on one particular. He read it then frowned. He then closed his book and began to walk away fast and with purpose the nun looked at him confused following.

Priest: we must return to the cathedral right away.

Nun: but what about the blessed.

Priest: The blessed is a Franco's the angel is xirol.

Nun: oh That's bad right?
