Chapter 343 - Chapter 343: The First Day (2)

[Third Person Pov]

Melissa chuckled softly as she felt the tension in the room rise, the air growing just a little heavier from the deadpan glares being aimed at Tony after his arrogant introduction. She shifted her stance, placing her weight more comfortably on one leg as she looked around at everyone's reactions. "What a Tony style of introduction," she said, her tone amused rather than critical.

"It's alright, you can clap now," Tony nodded confidently as he waited, clearly expecting applause without a hint of shame.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then the sound of clapping echoed across the room. It was light, but distinct enough to draw everyone's attention. Heads turned almost in unison until they landed on Angel, who stood there happily clapping her hands together with a bright smile on her face. She was the only one in the entire room doing so, completely unbothered by the silence around her.

"Thank you, thank you," Tony said, bowing repeatedly as if he had received a standing ovation rather than a single person's effort.

"Seriously?" A boy with purple skin, six arms, and eight eyes looked up from behind him, his expression unimpressed as all eight of his eyes focused on Angel.

"What, Rudy?" Angel shrugged casually, lowering her hands as if nothing was out of the ordinary. "It was a solid introduction, I didn't want to be rude."

Rudy rolled all eight of his eyes at once, an almost impressive display of irritation, before deciding she wasn't worth the energy and turning his attention elsewhere.

"I suppose next it's my turn, right?" Melissa said as she took a step forward, naturally drawing attention as Tony stepped back and gave her the spotlight without protest.

The room watched her with interest, a quiet curiosity settling in. After Tony's introduction, there was an unspoken question hanging in the air about how she would present herself. Would she be humble, or would she carry the same kind of arrogance?

Melissa pressed two fingers to her lips and shifted her stance again, placing her other hand on her hip with an easy confidence. She blew them a kiss and gave a quick wink. "My name is Melissa Shield, Hero name: The Iron Maiden!"

Before the gesture could fade, Tony suddenly leaned forward and snatched the blown kiss right out of the air. With practiced ease, he opened the pocket on his chest, tucked it inside like it was something tangible, and patted it securely as if storing something valuable.

A few people couldn't help but quietly chuckle at the ridiculousness of it, while others let out small groans, already tired of his antics.

"How amusing…" one of the twins muttered with a small huff, their tone flat but not entirely disapproving.

"Agreed," her other half replied without missing a beat.

"Seriously?" Melissa asked, her smile only half-formed as she looked at Tony. "As cute as that was, how are you going to become the center of my own introduction?"

Tony raised a hand toward his face and nodded quickly, his expression shifting into something more apologetic. "Sorry, sorry, go ahead," he said, sounding sincere enough for the moment.

"Anyways," Melissa said as she turned back to face everyone, smoothly regaining control of the moment. She flashed them a peace sign, her confidence coming across naturally rather than forced. "Don't be intimidated by our presence. Despite how we come across, we're pretty approachable, so don't hesitate to ask us any questions."

'She reminds me of a gyaru,' Tony thought to himself, a faint smirk forming as he watched her continue.

Angel immediately raised her hand high, her halo following the movement of her head as if it were loosely tethered.

"Yes, you," Melissa said, pointing toward the white-haired girl in an exaggerated manner that matched her energy.

"You went to space, right? What is that like?" Angel asked, her voice filled with wonder as her eyes sparkled with genuine curiosity.

Melissa raised a brow before smiling, clearly amused by the question. "Vacant, cold… and freaking awesome. It's very eye-opening, makes you realize just how insignificant we truly are in the grand scheme of things."

"Cool~," Angel whispered, nodding to herself in satisfaction.

"Now if anyone has any more questions, please wait until our introductions are over," Melissa added, giving a small bow that seemed more like a habit than a necessity. "I'll be more than happy to answer them then."

She took a small step back, and the difference in reception was noticeable. Where Tony had come off as arrogant and attention-seeking, Melissa came across as confident and inviting, leaving a far more positive impression on the room.

Momo stepped forward with a faint, shy smile, her posture straight yet gentle. She gave a traditional Japanese bow, her movements practiced and respectful as she introduced herself. "I suppose now it's my turn. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu, hero name: Genesis… please take care of me while I become accustomed to the way things operate here."

A soft reaction spread across the room almost immediately. People couldn't help but smile, some even visibly melting at her introduction. There was something about the way she carried herself that felt genuine, humble, and endearing all at once.

Her innocent and shy smile quickly ensnared the hearts of quite a few of the young men present, their expressions softening without them even realizing it. All except for Eric, who remained stiff, his expression unmoved as he stared at her. 'Like I'm going to fall for that innocent smile a second time… she damn near broke my femur,' he thought, a slight twitch in his brow betraying his memory.

"Yo teach—Are you serious right now?" Tony said as he turned to address their new teacher, only to pause mid-sentence. He blinked, then squinted slightly. The man was leaning back in his seat, mouth wide open, audibly snoring without a care in the world.

Tony slowly turned his head back toward the rest of the class, his expression flattening. "Is he always like this?" he asked.

"Yes," they all replied in exasperated unison, their voices blending together with practiced annoyance.

"I got this!" both Jaime and Angel said at the exact same time as they shot up from their seats.

They froze for a moment, then turned to glare at each other, neither willing to back down. Without another word, they both took a step back and raised their fists.

"Rock! Paper! Scissors! Say shoot!!" they shouted together, pumping their hands in sync.

Angel chose paper. Jaime chose scissors.

"No!!" Angel cried out dramatically, slamming her fists onto the table as tears instantly welled up in her eyes.

"Yes!!" Jaime exclaimed, not wasting a single second. He leapt onto the table, his tail tensing and coiling behind him like a spring ready to snap. In the next instant, he launched himself across the room at extraordinary speed.

He twisted his body midair, a wide grin stretching across his face. "IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE POISON!" he roared, his tail snapping forward with lethal precision, the stinger aimed directly at the teacher's face.

Before he could get any closer, his entire body suddenly became outlined in a faint blue glow. He froze midair as if time itself had stopped just for him, completely immobilized.

Mr. Cullen lazily pointed a finger in his direction, a thin beam of energy extending from it. He let out a long yawn, his eyes barely open. "Why are you yelling? I was awake the entire time."

'You were drooling and snoring,' everyone thought at once, their collective disbelief almost palpable.

"And what did I tell you about making me use my quirk," Mr. Cullen continued, clicking his tongue. With a small motion of his finger, he guided Jaime's frozen body back across the room and gently set him down in his seat.

"Tsk, I almost had him… I was a centimeter closer than last time," Jaime muttered under his breath as he regained control of his body, flexing his limbs in mild frustration.

'Zero point energy, huh…' Tony thought, analyzing what he had just seen. At the same time, another thought ran through his mind, far less composed. 'What the hell is up with this class? He was seriously planning on killing him.'

Noticing the confusion on Tony and Melissa's faces, Eric spoke up in a calm, matter-of-fact tone. "We get extra credit if we manage to catch him off guard while he's snoozing."

"I see…" Tony said slowly before scoffing, turning his attention back toward the teacher. "Say, do you mind if I take over the class for a moment?"

Mr. Cullen raised a brow, mildly intrigued despite his lazy demeanor. "Why? What did you have in mind?"

Tony's grin widened, a competitive spark lighting in his eyes. "I want to fight all of them and test their skills."

"Huh?!" the class exclaimed in unison, though their reactions varied from surprise to outright irritation.

"I don't know, I had a lesson—" Mr. Cullen began, sounding only half-invested.

"If I take over, that gives you time to sleep," Tony cut in flatly.

"They're all yours. Make sure not to injure yourselves too greatly," Mr. Cullen said without hesitation as he waved a hand dismissively and walked back to his seat, already pulling an eye mask from his pocket.

"DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY YOU LAZY BUM!!" the entire class shouted at him in unison, their frustration finally boiling over.

Tony stood at the front of the room with a wide, satisfied smile, his hands resting on his hips. Momo and Melissa stood beside him, forming a clear focal point at the front of the class.

Elsewhere, over at UA, a similar scene unfolded, one that almost perfectly mirrored their current situation.

Mirio Togata stood with his hands on his hips, his usual confident posture still present, while Tamaki Amajiki and Nejire Hado stood by his side.

However, unlike Tony, Mirio's expression wasn't as relaxed. His face held a faint tension as he looked over the class in front of him.

A heavy, dark cloud seemed to hang over the room.

The air felt thick and oppressive, weighed down by something unspoken. Three vacant seats stood out sharply among the rows of students, drawing the eye no matter where one looked.

Most of the class had their heads lowered. Some stared blankly at their desks, while others struggled to hold back tears, their grief lingering heavily in the silence.
