Going back to the time when Alfonzo, Akatsuki, and Sakura separated from Tatsuo and Rumi…
"Are you sure we can handle All for One without calling in more support?" Akatsuki asked as she leapt from rooftop to rooftop following behind Alfonzo, who was flying through the air on his metal disk. "I mean, he's, like, the final boss of this world, right?"
"That's right.' Alfonzo replied while looking back at Akatsuki from over his shoulder. "But he should be at his weakest point by now. So, if we have any kind of chance, it would be now."
"Still, from what you told us, he fights All Might to the point where he loses all his powers only a few months from now in canon." Akatsuki replied, her tone still full of insecurity. "And then there are the Nomus that should be hidden in that warehouse."
"That's true." Alfonzo said with a nod. "But that's why Tatsuo got rid of Dr. Garaki. Without that doctor, All for One's health should be even worse than it was at that point in canon."
"On top of that, there's a good chance that Shigaraki-San is not ready to receive his power, either." Sakura added after rising from a shadow near the building Akatsuki just landed on. "So, if we can actually get rid of him now, then he should not be able to come back."
"I suppose that's true." Akatsuki conceded. "Still, this feels really risky."
"Of course, it is." Alfonzo said with a smile. "But we expected as much when we decided to come on this [Mission], right?"
This time, Akatsuki did not respond. It was clear that she was not completely convinced that everyone would come out of this battle in one piece. Even so, she knew this had to be done.
"*Sigh* If only this world was like the one I'm trapped in back home." Akatsuki muttered. "Even if I die there, I just go back to the Cathedral with a few memories missing."
The rest of the trip proceeded in silence. Before long, the trio arrived at the warehouse with the strange power readings that Alfonzo picked up a short while ago.
"Alright, we're here." Alfonzo said. "*Sigh* I guess I'll have to contact the HPSC before I do this. Luckily, no one should get here in time to help. Well, All Might could. But I doubt he'll leave Midoriya alone to come running here."
"He would if he found out we were fighting All for One." Sakura pointed out.
"Well, I can't argue with that." Alfonzo said with a shrug. He then continued while pulling out his HPSC communicator. "Either way, I gotta report this."
Once the communication connected, Alfonzo explained a modified version of the situation to the dispatcher from the HPSC. Telling them that after realizing that an abnormal amount of power was being sent to an abandoned warehouse, he, along with Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura investigated and found a Nomu breeding facility.
"We're going to destroy the facility and every Nomu inside." Alfonzo said in a solemn tone. "We'll try to get as much information as we can from any servers in the building, too. But I doubt we'll find anything substantial."
{"Understood."} The dispatcher replied. {"I'll get as much backup as I can for your assault. We'll also inform the police and other local authorities."}
"Good." Alfonzo replied. "But if you're gonna call in other Heroes, you better make sure they're some actual heavy hitters. I've fought these Nomus before, and they're no pushovers."
{"we will take that into consideration."} The dispatcher replied. {"We'll also put out an evacuation notice for the surrounding area. If possible, please hold off on beginning your attack until we have confirmation of public safety."}
"Yeah, I know." Alfonzo said while rolling his eyes. "Luckily, there shouldn't be many people in this warehouse district. Especially since quite a few of the buildings in the surroundings seem to be abandoned like the target building. Anyway, get going. We can't waste time waiting. Because if they discover us, we might lose the chance all together."
{"We'll get it done as fast as we can."} The dispatcher replied before Alfonzo cut the call.
*Zap!*
After the call ended, Alfonzo's hand holding the communicator flashed with electricity.
"Alright, I've temporarily disable the passive listening devices in this thing." Alfonzo said while putting the communicator away. "Regardless of what happens, we're hitting the place in three minutes. The excuse will be that we were noticed and had no choice, got it?"
"Yeah, because I doubt they will have anything in place fast enough to make a difference." Akatsuki replied.
"Bureaucrats are the same in any world." Sakura added. "But at least they aren't Magus bureaucrats. They might put a sealing designation on us for being able to take down a place like this by ourselves."
"The more I hear about your world, Sakura, the more it seems to suck." Akatsuki said while shaking her head.
"Well, I can't say that I have many fond feelings about my world, either." Sakura said in a desolate tone.
During those three minutes, Alfonzo sent Akatsuki, under the effects of her [Sneak Quirk], and Sakura, using her [Shadow Space] to map out the warehouse's layout. Meanwhile, he tapped into the electrical grid to determine where exactly all the power being routed into the warehouse was going.
What they found was that there were no living people in the warehouse. However, the warehouse was far from empty, as in the main storage area there were more than three dozen tanks filled with what appeared to be nutrient fluid, or something close to it. Even more disturbing than the tanks was what could be seen inside.
Inside most of the tanks were humanoid beings, that Akatsuki had no problem identifying as Nomus. However, despite there being almost forty tanks, only about two dozen of them had Nomus inside. The rest contained humans. Though, Akatsuki could not tell if they were alive.
{"Unfortunately, I don't have enough medical knowledge to tell if they're alive."} Akatsuki reported into her communicator while looking at a screen attached to one of the tanks. {"Though I've studied to be a veterinarian and should be able to tell, there are no vital sign monitors attached to these machines. But if I had to guess, I wouldn't expect to be able to save anyone."}
{"I can't feel any life coming from the tanks either."} Sakura added. {"But my senses for such things are muted with my shadows. If I wanted to be sure, I would have to go inside."}
{"Unfortunately, they're probably all already dead."} Alfonzo replied in a solemn tone. {"That asshole, Garaki, usually used corpses he snuck away from morgues all around the country to create the Nomus."}
{"How does anyone take so many corpses without anyone finding out."} Akatsuki asked in a slightly mortified tone.
{"He probably takes the ones who are about to be cremated."} Alfonzo guessed. {"As long as you can produce an urn full of ashes, most people would never know their loved ones are missing."}
{"That sounds like something a Magus would do."} Sakura said in a dark tone.
{"Yeah."} Alfonzo replied with a nod. {"Just another reason why AFO needs to kick his oxygen habit. Without him and the knowledge Garaki left, this should stop… At least on such a scale."}
The communication line fell silent for a few moments after that, the trio firming their resolves to put an end to All for One's plans.
{"Anyway, time's almost up."} Alfonzo said, breaking the silence. {"Akatsuki, it's time to get out of there. I'm gonna light the whole place up as soon as you're back."}
{"Got it."} Akatsuki replied before leaving the console she was looking at and quietly making her way out of the warehouse.
At the same time, in a lavishly decorated office a couple of floors below the ground floor, another, more sophisticated tank with mechanical arms attached to it was located behind the desk in the office. And floating in that tank was another humanoid shape. However, unlike the ones on the higher floors, this one was actually wearing clothes, a sharp black suit with a white collared shirt. Yet, the face of this person was not visible, as it was covered by ba lack, metallic helmet with hoses connected to the person's torso at the front and back.
"Hmm… it seems some little rats have found this place." A smooth, masculine voice sounded from inside the tank. "I'd better release a few of the Nomus to deal with them before they start an infestation."
With that, one of the mechanical arms attached to the tank began to move towards the keyboard on the desk.
*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!*
However, before the arms the man in the tank was controlling could issue any commands, a monitor hanging on the wall began to beep, signifying that there was an incoming communication.
"That's from the bar." The man muttered to himself. "Do Tomura-Kun and Kurogiri need me for something? I suppose the rats can be dealt with in a moment."
Redirecting the mechanical arm to activate the monitor, the man, All for One, who had been in constant medical care since his run in with All Might six years ago where he was thought to have perished, activated the monitor, initiating the communication.
As soon as the connection was established and the monitor turned on, the first thing All for One saw was Kurogiri's face taking up most of the screen. On top of that, he could hear the sound of some kind of commotion happening in the background.
"What is the matter, Kuro---"All for One began to ask before the sounds of someone screaming in pain and repeated blunt impacts drew his attention. "Is that Tomura-Kun? Why is he screaming like that? Is he getting… beaten up?"
{"Yes, that's exactly what's happening, Sensei."} Kurogiri replied in a hurried, frantic tone. {"I don't know how, but it seems like the Soramoto boy found our hideout."}
Hearing that, All for One's lips curled in sadistic amusement. Because despite the fact that he raised Tomura to be his successor, he did not truly care for the boy. Instead, he was the actual reason for all of Tomura's suffering as a child. And in the end, he was only raising Tomura so that he could take over his body in the future once it was strong enough to house his [Quirk].
"I see." All for One replied, in a calm tone that carefully concealed his amusement. "Then, that means you won't be able to escape with your [Quirk]. In that case, I'll be there---"
*Boom~~~~~~~~~!*
However, before All for One could finish, a massive explosion rocked the entire warehouse, underground levels, and all. In fact, the explosion was so powerful that most of the ceiling in his office collapsed, a chunk of rubble destroying the communication monitor on the wall. Yet, the tank housing All for One was completely undamaged, as All for One used the mechanical arms to deflect any falling rubble that could have possibly done so.
"*Sigh* It looks like the rats are causing trouble." All for One said, his tone still as calm as ever. "Tomura-Kun and Kurogiri will have to wait. An extermination is in order, it would seem."
With that said, one of the mechanical arms moved to tap a few buttons on the side of the tank. A moment later, the fluid filling the tank was flushed out the bottom. And as the fluid level lowered, All for One lowered along with it, his feet eventually touching the bottom of the tank shortly before it was emptied completely.
*Hiss!*
A moment later, the pressured seal of the tank was released and the top of the tank opened. All for One then, with the use of one of his many stolen [Quirks], floated out of the tank while looking up towards the ground floor through the holes in the ceiling.
"It's been quite some time since I've had to personally deal with any pests." All for One said calmly. "Then again, let's see how they deal with the Nomus who managed to survive the explosion. If they can't do that much, they are not worth my personal intervention. But if they can…"
Reaching that point, All for One used another one of his [Quirks]. Asa result, all the liquid on his clothes and body evaporated, creating green-tinted steam cloud that rose from his body while he adjusted his suit jacket.
"…I don't mind stretching my legs for a bit." All for One continued.
Going back about a minute, Akatsuki had just joined up with Alfonzo and Sakura, who were waiting on a nearby rooftop.
*Zap!*
"Nightshade, hold onto Akatsuki with your shadows." Alfonzo said while standing at the edge of building with his arms spread and electricity gathering in his palms. "This is probably gonna have one hell of a kick back."
Nodding in response, Sakura expanded her shadow. Then, several tendrils rose and wrapped around her an Akatsuki. At the same time, a wall of shadows rose between them and Alfonzo, as the electricity in his palms was getting too bright for them to stand.
"Don't go overboard." Akatsuki said as she braced herself. "We don't wanna destroy the whole area, after all."
"Don't worry, I've been doing this for a long time." Alfonzo said with a smile. "And I've never caused any unnecessary collateral damage. It's actually something I'm quite proud of. I'm the only one in my guild who has a perfect record at this point. Even Lici has slipped once."
The rooftop fell silent after that with Akatsuki and Sakura watching Alfonzo gather electricity through the tint of the wall of shadows. And before long, Alfonzo was ready to launch his attack.
"[Final Flash]." Alfonzo said, naming his attack as he brought his hands together in front of him.
*Zap~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!*
In the next instant, a beam of condensed electricity was fired from Alfonzo's palms, the power of the attack cutting straight through the warehouse's outer wall before striking the center of the ground floor. And as soon as it did, Alfonzo exerted his will, causing the electricity to detonate.
*Boom~~~~~~~~~!*
As a result, a pillar of violet electricity shot up into the sky, lighting up the city of Yokohama for miles while arcs of electricity ravaged the rest of the warehouse, destroying most of the tanks on the ground floor. On top of that, the shockwave that resulted from the explosion shattered the walls of the warehouse, causing the structure to collapse.
Yet, not a single surrounding building was damaged, something that would have been impossible in normal situations. But [Quirks], just like magic, had a way of making the impossible possible.
"Oh, I didn't get them all." Alfonzo said with an eyebrow raised. "I can feel movement from six sources in there. Looks like we'll still have to deal with the Nomus before we can take down AFO. I'll leave most of that to you two. Those Nomus shouldn't be as strong as either of the ones at the USJ."
Hearing that, Akatsuki and Sakura exchanged glances as Sakura retracted the shadows. Then, they nodded with determined expressions on their faces as they began to move with Akatsuki dashing past Alfonzo and jumping off the roof and Sakura sinking into her shadow before reappearing on the ground in front of where the warehouse used to be.
"I'll just let them fight." Alfonzo said while crossing his arms. "I'll only step in if they end up in danger or the old guy shows up."
