It did not take long for the media, police, and other Heroes to arrive after the battle with All for One ended. When they did, Tatsuo, Alfonzo, Akatsuki, Sakura, Toshinori, and Rumi told them a slightly modified version of events. Though, Toshinori looked rather uncomfortable.
However, knowing that mentioning All for One's return would put everyone on edge, he did not try to argue the point. As a result, All for One's participation in the battle was left out completely. Instead, he was said to be the most advance Nomu anyone had seen. And because of the damage caused by the battle, no one was able to verify how something so powerful was created.
After dealing with all the new arrivals, giving statements to the police, putting Tomura and Kurogiri into police custody, giving interviews to the media, and talking with the other Heroes, Alfonzo, Akatsuki, Sakura, Toshinori, and Rumi each put a hand on Tatsuo's shoulders. Then, Tatsuo [Blinked] them back to the gym in Alfonzo's Hero Agency.
"That was tiring." Tatsuo said while stretching his arms over his head, his tattered costume giving glimpses of his lean torso. "Using my transformation still takes a lot out of me."
"Speaking of that, Young Soramoto..." Toshinori said, sounding a bit unsure if it was okay to ask about it. "What was that transformation, exactly?"
"Oh, that's part of my [Quirk]." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. Then, when he saw the expression on Toshinori's face as he returned to his true form, he shrugged his shoulders and continued. "Although I've told people that my [Quirk] is [Spatial Manipulation], the actual name for my [Quirk] is [Void Dragon]. So, when I go all out with my [Quirk], I take on that humanoid dragon form that you saw back in Kamino."
"I see." Toshinori replied. He then covered his mouth before continuing. "*Cough* *Cough* I suppose that is a good enough explanation."
"I'm still upset about that." Rumi said in a huff. "You were actually holding back when we fought."
"Like I said, that form takes a lot out of me." Tatsuo replied nonchalantly. "It's not worth using in a spar. Especially since I have no issue controlling it. It just makes me a teeny bit more aggressive."
"Whatever." Rumi shot back while rolling her eyes. "Next time, you better use that when we fight."
"If I do, I'm sending you all the way to New Zealand." Tatsuo shot back. "So, are you sure you really wanna fight me?"
*Grr!*
Rumi's only response was to growl at Tatsuo indignantly. A moment later, however, her expression turned into a mischievous smile.
"But now it makes sense why Ryukyu was so into you." Rumi said in a mischievous tone. "You're both dragons, after all."
"Yeah, but T can actually breathe fire." Alfonzo said with a grin. "So, he's a real dragon. Not like Ryukyu. I mean, seriously, what kind of dragon can't breathe fire?"
While Rumi laughed along with Alfonzo, Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura shook their heads. As for Toshinori...
"You shouldn't talk about your colleagues like that behind their backs, Alfonzo." Toshinori said in a stern tone. "It's not very heroic."
"Oh, don't worry, Toshinori." Alfonzo replied while dismissively waving off Toshinori's protest. "I say it to her face all the time."
That response left Toshinori at a loss for words.
"Anyway, we've all had a long day." Alfonzo said while looking at Tatsuo, Akatsuki, Sakura, and Rumi. "We should all get some rest. Today was the last day of the internships, after all. And the kids will have to go back to school starting tomorrow."
"Yeah, I should probably get home." Akatsuki said with a nod. "My mom, dad, and little sister will probably be really worried after hearing that I was involved in what happened in Kamino on the news."
"Me, too." Sakura replied. She then bowed politely and continued. "So, I'll head home, too. See you tomorrow, Tatsuo-Kun."
After saying that, Sakura blushed slightly before stepping towards Tatsuo. She then stood up on her tip toes and pecked him on the cheek, causing her blush to deepen. Then, she spun around, ran towards her change of clothes, and left the gym.
"If she was gonna get that embarrassed about kissing him in front of people, she shouldn't have done it." Akatsuki said with a shrug. "Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow, too."
With that, Akatsuki also went to pick up her change of clothes and left the gym. She and Sakura then changed clothes before leaving the Static Shock Hero Agency.
"You know... I could have taken them back home." Tatsuo said while scratching the side of his head.
"They were being considerate." Alfonzo said with a shrug. "You said your dragon transformation took a lot out of you, after all. Anyway, go get cleaned up and get some rest."
"Yeah, I guess." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. "I'll see you later, Mirko. And I'll see you at school tomorrow, All Might."
"Rest well, Young Soramoto." Toshinori replied. "And although I don't agree with you killing a Villain, you did a good job today."
"Thanks." Tatsuo replied while making his way out of the gym.
"Next time I see you, Kid." Rumi said to the retreating Tatsuo. "You better fight me for real."
Tatsuo only waved over his shoulder while raising his other hand to stifle a yawn.
With the kids gone, Toshinori and Rumi turned to look at Alfonzo.
"I suppose I should get going, as well." Toshinori said as he bulked up again. "Nezu will want to hear about the encounter with All for One. Alfonzo, you should expect to be called in, as well."
"Yeah, I figured." Alfonzo replied nonchalantly.
"I'm gonna get going, too." Rumi said while stretching her arms over her head, emphasizing her curvy figure. "I didn't get to beat anyone up today, and my hands are itchy. So, I'm gonna go patrol around somewhere. See ya later, Static. You, too, Old Man."
With that said, Rumi crouched in a leaping position, causing Alfonzo to hurriedly open the sky light. Then, Rumi leapt out before kicking the air and shooting off in a random direction.
"*Sigh* If I wasn't on my shit, she would have crashed right through the sky light without even giving me a warning, wouldn't she?" Alfonzo asked while shaking his head in exasperation.
Toshinori laughed in response. Then, he patted Alfonzo on the shoulder before also jumping through the sky light and making his way home.
Now alone in the gym, Alfonzo closed the sky light. Then, he took a seat on one of the workout benches and shook his head.
"Damn… I never expected to be away for this long." Alfonzo muttered to himself. "But at least it's almost over. The only thing we have left to do is pick a new member. I know who I'm gonna pick, and T's choice is obvious, too. But I have no idea who either Akatsuki or Sakura plan to pick. Oh well, I guess we'll find out soon."
With that said, Alfonzo sat there for a few more minutes. Then, he made his way into the locker room to take a shower and get changed before heading to the kitchen to start making dinner.
The rest of the day passed without issue. During that time, Akatsuki and Sakura were fussed over by their families while Tatsuo and Alfonzo just relaxed at home. And before they all knew it, it was time for bed.
The next day, Tatsuo left at his usual time for school. When he reached U.A.'s gate, he found Akatsuki and Sakura waiting for him. Though, he could not actually see them.
'Hmm… Looks like Akatsuki is using her [Quirk] to hide herself and Sakura.' Tatsuo thought to himself while looking at all the extra people surrounding U.A.'s gate. 'Then again, I can't really blame them. There are so many reporters out here. Oh… Looks like Bakugo is probably gonna scare them away, though.'
Just as Tatsuo was thinking that, he saw Katsuki approaching. Though, he had to put everything he had into not laughing out loud. And the reason for that was simple, Katsuki's hair had been straightened into a very neat cut.
'Well, he did intern with Best Jeanist just like in the canon.' Tatsuo thought to himself while watching Bakugo rage at the reporters who tried to stop him for an interview. 'Unfortunately, instead of taking some of the edge off by trying to tame him, Jeanist only made things worse. Damn it… Now that I think about it, he's probably gonna give me a hard time, too. Probably spouting shit about being better than me and all that.'
While thinking that, Tatsuo snuck over to where Akatsuki and Sakura were standing. And when he got close, Akatsuki, without missing a beat, deactivated her [Sneak Quirk] for an instant, grabbed Tatsuo's wrist, and reactivated it. Then, she dragged Tatsuo and Sakura through the gate to completely avoid the reporters.
"Ugh! That was nerve racking." Akatsuki grumbled after deactivating her [Quirk] once the trio was inside the gate. "Didn't they get enough interview material yesterday?"
"They're from different cities." Tatsuo pointed out. "All those reporters were probably local Musutafu reporters."
"Plus, we did something big yesterday." Sakura added. "So, the hype probably won't die down for a while."
"*Sigh* I still don't like dealing with this." Akatsuki whined. "Anyway, let's go inside. The other students are starting to stare, too."
Smiling at Akatsuki who was clearly not adapting well to their new fame, Tatsuo and Sakura followed her into the main building as she quickly walked off to avoid the eyes of the other students.
It did not take long for the trio to reach Class 1-A after that. When they did, quite a few of their classmates were already in the classroom. So, there was no getting around the questions that they knew were coming.
"You three really fought a whole base of Nomus with Static during your internship?" Mina asked energetically. "That's so cool. I mean, training with Yoroi Musha was cool. He helped me get stronger. But I didn't get to fight any Villains"
"I think that was the same for all of us." Momo said in her usual calm tone. "These internships were for us to improve and learn about being a Hero. Fighting Villains wasn't supposed to happen until we started our work studies in the second year."
"Now that you mention it." Mina said in a contemplative tone. "I think I read something about that somewhere."
"It was in the schools---" Momo began to say.
"Don't bother, Yaoyorozu-San." Tatsuo said, waving off Momo's explanation. "It's not like Mina-Chan's gonna remember longer than five minutes after you tell her about it."
"Hey! That's not true!" mina protested indignantly. She then put her fists on her hips and puffed out her chest as she continued proudly. "I'd remember for at least seven minutes."
Everyone stared at Mina blankly after her proud declaration. Then, as if they had discussed it beforehand, they all turned away simultaneously.
"Yaomomo is right." Kyoka said in her usual tone. "We were only supposed to be learning. Why would Static let you three fight like that?"
"Because he's trained Sakura and I for the last year and a half." Akatsuki replied. "During that time, he taught us all the stuff we needed to know about running an agency and dealing with the media."
"Oh, I guess that makes sense." Ochaco said.
"Although my time with Uwabami was not so exciting, I'm sure there was something to be learned from interning under her." Momo said, her usual calm expression straining as she tried to keep a straight face.
"So, you were basically treated as part of her entourage, weren't you?" Tatsuo asked. "Like, a celebrity's extras."
Momo did not respond. Instead, she only looked away with a slightly irritated blush on her face.
*Bang!*
At that moment, the classroom door was slammed open. When everyone looked to see who had entered, they saw Katsuki. However, they all had to do a double take when they saw how his hair was styled.
"Hahahahahaha!"
After a moment, the class burst into laughter.
"Shut the hell up!" Katsuki shouted angrily.
Even so, he did not make any more of a scene after that. Instead, he just stomped over to his seat, threw his school bag on his desk, and plopped down in his chair while cursing the Hero he interned with, Best Jeanist, under his breath.
Around the time the laughter died down, the door opened once again, and Shota entered with that usual tired expression on his face. Then, without needing to be prompted, the students rushed to their desk, not wanting to be on the receiving end of their teacher's ire. Meanwhile, Shota made his way to the lectern. And as soon as he arrived…
*Ding!* *Dong!* *Dong!* *Ding!*
… the bell rang, signaling that it was time for homeroom to begin.
"I hope you all learned something during your internships." Shota said in his usual tone. "But to be honest, I'm not really interested. Like I told you, choosing which Hero to intern under was your decision. As such, you have to live with the consequences. Instead, I want to remind you that you have less than a month until Final Exams."
With that, any joy the students were feeling after seeing Katsuki's hair was cleanly swept away. However, Shota did not care in the slightest as he continued talking about the upcoming Final Exams.
Then, when his explanation was over, Shota turned to look at Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura.
"And you three, Soramoto, Hanekura, and Matou." Shota said. "The principal wants to see you during lunch."
"Understood." Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura replied simultaneously, no signs of surprise in their expressions.
