Gong Wei's POV
I burned the letter and watched it as it burned to ashes. I'm glad I noticed that servant who was sneaking his way in and went straight to my husband's study hall.
Someone sent me a letter and maliciously accused my husband of infidelity, but jokes are on me. After everything that I heard, I've realized that I've ignored my instinct for too long.
"Mother?" Shi Zeng calls.
I raised my head and looked at my son. He's been slacking for two years after he declined the empress's offer. He is supposed to be a 1st rank official under the Ministry of Personnel, but he declined.
"Er'ze, if Mother divorces your father, are you going to blame me?" I questioned. His demeanor shifts to a serious one.
"What did you find out, Mother?"
His question caught my interest. "Er'ze, I think I should be the one asking you a question. Are you hiding the truth from your own mother?" I assert firmly. He looks down. I saw that my son was guilty.
