The golden sunlight coming through the window spread across the room, bathing everything in a warm glow. The light fell over Bella's face, illuminating her soft features and making her look even more beautiful to Leo.
He had been watching her for a while when he noticed her struggling to keep her eyes open.
His expression softened immediately.
"Bunny."
Bella turned her tired eyes toward him.
"Sleep, Bunny. I'm here."
He gently brushed his fingers against her cheek, caressing her face with tenderness.
Bella looked at him for a moment, her lips curving into a faint smile.
Then she nodded.
"Mm..."
Her eyes slowly closed and within moments, she drifted into sleep.
Leo remained beside her, watching her peaceful face for a little while. He carefully adjusted the blanket around her before turning his attention to the little girl resting in his arms.
His princess had grown sleepy too.
