"BREAK!"
Lines appeared on Simon and Jayden's simultaneously all over their bodies at the same time but surprisingly the outcome was different.
Simon staggered around as blood started to pour from his ears, his mouth and his eyes while Jayden on the other hand was in front of simon, his hand clenched, landing a blow on his face.
"This power. My body is rejecting it, or is it the other way around. Is Logic disruption rejecting me? Nevertheless this power is too strong for my body"
Simon thought as he landed, skidding back to regain balance and started healing himself.
"Regeneration, that's it right? That's the last one." Jayden grinned as he lunged forward attempting to grab Simon who dodged and aimed several lightning blades at him.
"CONVERT" The lightning turned to paper and blew away.
"Eyes of the gods"
"The power presence of the strongest one presses down on you. Beg for your lives." A ghastly, demonic voice spoke.
The clear blue morniing sky darkened and the pressing aura smashed down on Simon. A portal opened and Simon appeared at Jayden's back, slightly out of breath, with a condensed earth fist aiming for Jayden's skull.
"Wind barrier".
"What is this, what is this power" Simon wondered as he couldn't punch Jayden.
1 minute gone.
Jayden, twisting quickly, kicked Simon into the air and a clone appeared above Simon mid air and punched him back down with force.
2 apppeared next to Jayden's side. Both Jaydens fist-bumped themselves, and looked at each other. There minds were one after all so they both knew the plan.
As soo as Simon crashed down on the ground, 2 and Jayden appeared around Simonand after a single laugh, proceeded to beat him from all angles.
'Left. Right. Side. Back. Rib and throw.
"Electric floor." Simon shouted, his broken nose, healing along with other parts of his body.
Jayden leapt up and stood in the air.
A current of electricity blasted out immediately from Simon's body.
"Ugh he didn't make it. What a shame" Jayden sighed as the 2 faded away. "Condensed Vortex".
A rainbow of mana swirled around Simon's hand and exploded towards Jayden.
"Seen that one before" Jayden smiled as he started to run away from the rainbow attacks.
"Huh? They're following me". A huge rainbow ball closed down and was about to land on Jayden when lines grew on the blast and it faded away.
"I havent gotten a cool name for it but… let me just show you a better skill".
A condensed golden ball of mana formed in Jayden's hand and was swirling fast, absorbing all the mana in its surroundings.
"Divide!". The ball split itself rapidly and continuously until it was just sparkly golden shimmers around his hand.
The aim of this move was to make each shimmer of the blast as strong as the original one and fuse it together back to make it ten times, no, a hundred times stronger than before.
The shimmers fused back into a small golden ball of mana, the size of his hand.
Jayden shot it out and it destroyed everything in its path as it grew bigger till it was the size of a car.
As it was about to hit him "Aura extension: Collector's loot".
The blast blew up and created a crater around Simon.
Panting and wiping off both dust and sweat, Simon stood unscathed, his sword now in his hand and a slight smirk on his face.
This was the true power of Simon Zain not the others he had copied.
Around him were glowing cores, one for every person that he had copied his or her powers since his magic got activated.
His powers were like a book that stored documents, normally he would only be able to use the last three abilities he wanted to collected, but by activating his aura extension, Simon was capable of opening his mind book of all the abilities he had copied and for a span of five minutes, Simon could swap to any ability of his choosing.
What he had used right now wasn't a blocking powers but a neutralizing power.
Due to his luck that his father was the head of security, Simon had the opportunity to touch every dangerous prisoner his father kept captive and was harbouring all their powers.
"Let's fight like real men, shall we?" Simon extended his free hand before teleporting to Jayden and swung his sword at his neck.
"Xelvicar!" Simon's sword was blocked as a flaoting sword that had one been at Jayden's side had come out and stood between Simon's sword and his neck.
"I'll take you up on that offer." Jayden replied as they both disappeared.
Balancing on both sides of the barrier, they lunged towards each other. Their swords clashed the first time, then the second. Multiple strikes continued as they both traveled around the ring in seconds, using both magic an swordsmanship to their advantages, wide grins on both faces.
Appearing behind Jayden, a sword strike was blocked as with a wave of his hand, a strong gust of wind pushed Simon off his feet and stretching his hand using rubber magic, grabbed Simon by the collar and flung him across the ring and into the invisible barrier.
"Would you look at the time, I'll have to end this. You we're strong but I still hate you." Jayden said as he watched Simon stand up and heal himself.
"Would you shut the fuck up, Jayden Reginald. I didn't prepare everything today for me to lose to you…" Simon said as he wiped the blood from his mouth and grinned madly.
"I haven't tortured you like I did to that girl. Please let me hear you scream in pain." Simon basically screamed at theis point, hands on his face as he felt on heaven. "You're right. Lets end this now!"
Simon breathed in.
Out.
Again. This time more slowly and then it happened.
Jayden was in the sky before he knew what was happening.
A lasso wrapped around him and swung him around before smashing him to the ground. The ground broke and the rubble covered and trapped Jayden as lightning spears rained down on him.
Not even giving him half a second to think, Simon continued his killer combo. Something that he planned to use in the finals but oh well.
Transforming his hand into that of a gorilla, Simon punched the stone prison and Jayden. Before Jayden could move, ice froze him.
"Soul weapon, sixteenth wielder!". A giant hammer smashed Jayden away and a wind cyclone pressed Jayden to the ground.
Finishing it off, a wide beam of light pressed on Jayden and forced him into the ground.
"That should do it". Simon laughed wildly as he panted.
"Now, Jayden Reginald , scream for help or are you too manly for that."
He stared to walk towards Jayden with icicles hovering above him.
The officials were about to jump in and carry Jayden out thinking it was getting out of control but a "stop" signal from Luke held them back.
Jayden stood up, his clothes torn and bloodied, slight injuries all over his body.
"Did you enjoy it? Did you enjoy the feeling of adrenaline surge through your body" Jayden questioned as he walked slowly towards Simon. "
What do you think you were doing, it was all fun and madness with no consideration because you were not on the receiving side of it?"
"So what if it's madness, huh, for me it's all fun, and that's what it should be."
Simon screamed madly as he condensed a flame sword in his hand.
Jayden looked up slowly at the timer in the sky.
"Not much time left, huh, I'll make you feel times ten the pain you made Nadia feel, you think what you did was madness, I'll show you true madness."
Lines broke all over the stadium and a purple aura covered him slightly.
"Aura extension: Laws of the land."
Immediately Simon felt himself fly up. "
"What is this power?" He wondered.
Unbeknownst to him, Jayden had destroyed all the fundamental laws in the stadium so as of now anything was possible.
Simon was now a weightless human without control of himself. Jayden was standing still with his head bent. He slowly raised it up to reveal a single eye glowing purple on his face and a wild wicked grin on his face. Before Simon could blink, Jayden was in front of him. "
STOP".
The single command stopped Simon from moving, though for a second or two but that was more than enough as Jayden grabbed him, spun him and threw him down. The ground broke from the impact and shot up like a giant spike.
Blue fire viciously engulfed the spike and burnt it before it broke and Simon landed on the ground.
"That would have killed me." Simon thought in dread.
"That was dangerous, y'know. You could have died from the heat." Jayden whispered behind him.
Simon jumped back, scared, his hands trembling .
"What's wrong with this guy. Its like he's a different person."
The ground started to become like quicksand so Simon using another power flew in the air.
"Eyes of the gods; Full effect."
Simon smashed down to the ground.
"Xelvicar, come to me!" The mystical sword once stuck in the ground, flew to his hand.
"Finish him off". The acting pressure didn't allow Simon to think and he could only throw randomized different attacks which Jayden slapped away with the swing of his hand. Xelvicar started attacking Simon who formed his own swords, fifteen in number and controlled them to attack.
Sadly, it was a clear winner.
Xelvicar was destroying all of them easily.
"Ten step destruction!"
"First step."
"Second step."
"Third step."
"Fourth step."
"Fifth step."
At this point, the ground started to vibrate and crack. Simon tried to spit out blood but the pressure sent it back down.
"Sixth step."
"Seventh step."
At this stage, Simon started screaming for his life as he could feel his bones on the verge of breaking.
"Eight…"
"Stop, it's over."
The officials who held Jayden shouted as they tried to pull Jayden back.
"He didn't even budge."
A shocked official thought. A slight rustle of air passed Jayden's face.
Immediately all the pressure diminished and Jayden turned to leave, "I've won".
He looked at the screen. "That's a new record, isnt it ?"
He walked out of the ring leaving his opponent lying on the ground, his anger not fully gone but satisfied.. for now.
The crowd was quiet for a second before the ground shaking screams and cheers took place.
"Two minutes, nineteen seconds. That's a new record, Jayden Reginald wins the match with a new record." The speaker shouted.
Teleporting, Jayden appeared in the King's chamber and greeted.
"You may rise."
"Dad thanks for the intervention." Jayden whispered to his father.
"No problem kiddo, next time control yourself I won't always be here to stop you.."
Luke said as he ruffled Jayden's hair
"…but seriously my wind control is divine." Luke smiled as he praised himself.
Myra came up, bowed and hugged her father.
"Told ya" Jayden smiled as he raised his hand to his sister who accepted the high five. "Yeah, yeah, I know, come in." Myra said as she dragged Jayden in for a group hug.
After laughing for a few seconds, Myra scratched her head as she forgot something.
"I'm off to the mission suite" Myra said as she adjusted her sash.
"What mission" Jayden asked quizzically. "That's why I came home, there might be an invasion on the city any time now."
