Benten's eyes widened, her lips parting in disbelief.
Luffy chuckled, electricity flaring brighter across his shoulders. "Cute trick. But let me show you what real music sounds like."
He raised one finger to the night sky. Lightning coiled instantly, swirling into the form of a dragon. The beast's body crackled and hissed with raw voltage, scales of light flickering like stars.
"One Hundred Thousand Volt—Thunder Dragon!"
The dragon roared as it shot forward, tearing through the battlefield with its fangs bared.
Benten gasped and leapt aside, her kimono fluttering as she narrowly evaded the strike.
But Luffy's smile widened. His voice was low, dangerous, and playful all at once. "Didn't say you could run."
The Thunder Dragon twisted midair with a crackling sound as its body coiled and dove after her, homing in with merciless precision.
"NO—!"
The lightning struck her full on.
Baang!
Her scream split the night as her body convulsed violently, electricity tearing across her nerves and muscles. Her elegant form was engulfed in a storm of golden-white light, her biwa clattering uselessly to the ground.
When the light faded, she was left smoldering, her once-glamorous appearance reduced to a charred silhouette. Smoke curled from her limbs, her skin blackened from the overwhelming current. She collapsed, twitching, her eyes wide with both pain and unwilling fascination for the boy who had just destroyed her so easily.
Luffy lowered his hand, sparks still dancing across his fingertips. His eyes glowed mischievously as he murmured, "Told you. I don't think so."
------
The capital burned with chaos and flames.
Samurai and ninjas lay unconscious or dead across the streets, their bodies scattered in piles, while flames licked at the rooftops and smoke rose into the sky.
Zoro stood among the wreckage, blades in hand, his expression bored and annoyed. He clicked his tongue, sheathing one sword and adjusting his grip on the other one as another wave of ninjas and samurai rushed at him. His grin widened slightly. "Finally, some exercise."
The steel clashed, sparks flying as he swung, cutting down men as though they were stalks of grass. His movements were sharp and precise, each strike ending with another body dropping at his feet.
Luffy, on the other hand, was moving like lightning itself, weaving between enemies as sparks crackled off his body. His hand shot forward, and thunder roared, burning another group into ash. He leaned against a wall of rubble, smiling faintly as smoke rose from his fingertips.
"Too weak," He muttered. "This isn't enough to bring out the real ones."
Just then, a sharp wave of sword energy sliced through the air toward him. The ground was split apart by the flying slash as scattered debris flew around.
Luffy didn't flinch and just simply raised his hand, catching the attack between two fingers, his Haki glowing scarlet. A smirk tugged at his lips as he turned his head.
"Barely good enough to scratch me."
From the shadows, a tall man stepped forward. His massive pompadour gleamed in the firelight, his slanted eyes filled with malice. Wearing a dark blue kimono with target-like patterns, he dragged his katana against the ground as he approached.
Kyoshiro's laugh echoed in the empty streets. "Not bad, brat. But let's see if you can handle me."
He swung his katana in a heavy arc, the pressure alone splitting the stones underfoot.
Luffy caught it again with two fingers, sparks flashing on impact. The corner of his mouth curved into a mocking grin.
"Your swordplay is decent," Luffy said calmly. "But you're not worth my time."
In the next instant, he twisted his body and drove a kick into Kyoshiro's chest. The impact boomed like a cannon, sending the man flying across the plaza. He crashed through a wall, rubble and dust exploding around him.
Luffy glanced at the crater and chuckled.
"Zoro!" He called, pointing toward the struggling figure of Kyoshiro as he rose from the debris, still laughing despite the blood on his lips. "Play with him. He's got some skill."
Zoro paused mid-swing, his eye narrowing in interest. A sharp grin spread across his face. "Don't mind if I do."
In a blink, he vanished, the ground cracking beneath his step as he rushed toward Kyoshiro. Their blades met with a thunderous clash, the shockwave rolling across the street.
While Zoro engaged his new opponent, Luffy turned back toward the remaining Oniwabanshu who still lingered with trembling hands, their weapons raised. Sparks danced across his body as he stepped forward, his voice low and almost playful.
"Now then… who's next?"
The ninjas flinched, their eyes flickering with fear.
------
On the other hand, at this time...
Inside the towering Shogun's castle, silence had been shattered. The distant echoes of battle from the capital seeped into the halls, carried on the wind like a warning.
Team 3 moved swiftly through the corridors. Gion led the way, her long blade gleaming faintly under the lantern light. Her lips curved into a sly smirk as she glanced back at her companions.
"Well," She whispered, her voice edged with amusement, "since Luffy and the others have already begun raising hell out there… It's our turn. Let's finish this quickly and drag Orochi out by his neck."
Kuina's expression was colder. Her hand caressed the hilt of her sword, her grip tightening as she gave a small nod. 'Orochi… today, your reign of cowardice ends.'
The five slipped through the corridors like shadows.
The guards who spotted them barely had time to cry out. Bodies crumpled in their wake, the smell of blood beginning to stain the air.
'Too easy,' Gion thought as her heels clicked softly against the polished wood. 'It feels more like walking through a deserted shrine than storming a Shogun's castle.'
But that illusion broke the moment they stepped into the wide expanse of the main hall.
Fwoosh!
A dozen figures dropped from the ceiling, their dark forms spinning through the air before landing with precision. Shuriken glinted, and masked faces gleamed under torchlight. At their head stood a tall, eerie figure, his elongated bald head and impossibly long ears making him look more specter than man. His purple kimono fluttered faintly as he raised one hand.
"Fukurokuju," Gion muttered, eyes narrowing.
The ninja commander sneered, his long beard twitching with his smile.
"So, the intruders finally crawl into the heart of the castle. You've saved us the effort of hunting you down." His voice was cold, deliberate, and carried like a blade across the hall.
Ain stepped forward, her eyes sharp. "Gion, Kuina, Doll... go. Your target is Orochi. Binz and I will handle this trash."
Binz twirled his wrist, roots sprouting and twisting from his palm as he smirked. "Don't worry. I'll make sure they don't follow you. Not a single step."
Gion hesitated for a fraction of a second, her sharp eyes flickering to Fukurokuju's calm stance and the deadly aura of his Oniwabanshu.
But she just smirked and moved ahead, slipping past them with ease.
Ain smiled softly, her gaze never leaving Fukurokuju.
The ninjas made a move to intercept, but Binz's vines erupted from the ground, snapping around their ankles like iron chains.
The path was clear for the three of them to move ahead.
The grand doors of the inner chamber loomed ahead.
Kuina kicked them open with a sharp crack, the wood slamming against the walls.
Inside, the Shogun of Wano sat upon his throne of lacquered gold.
Orochi's large head twitched, his beady eyes widening in panic as he saw the women stride in. Sweat already beaded at his brow, his trembling hands clutching the arms of his seat.
"You…" Orochi's voice cracked, his mask of arrogance faltering. "How dare you invade my castle?! Do you know who I am?!"
Doll scoffed, her sharp eyes narrowing as she drew her blade. "We know exactly who you are. And that's why we're here."
Kuina stepped forward, her presence sharp as a drawn blade. The light reflected off her sword as she raised it, her voice calm but cold. "Kurozumi Orochi. Your crimes against Wano end today."
The room was thick with tension, the faint crackle of flames outside mixing with the ragged sound of Orochi's panicked breathing. He glanced around desperately, searching for Fukurokuju, for Kaido, for anyone who could save him.
But no one came.
