She couldn't say any more unnecessary words. She was fed up with this so-called "warmth," and from her parents' indifferent care she had no interest in paying attention to it anymore. Aside from saying "okay," "fine," and "sure," she was rendered speechless.
Sure enough, after her mom finished speaking, she just left, not even caring if she responded. It was utterly indifferent, just a formality of care. Then she walked past her again. Her mom never asked if she was scared being home alone, whether she ate well, or if she was happy. At most, she'd say to ask her parents if she needed money.
She walked downstairs and suddenly noticed that the window, which was closed earlier, was now open. The wind blew the curtains, making them sway. She muttered to herself, "Wasn't this window closed earlier? Why is it suddenly open again?"
