Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: With Ease

Seeing this, the terrorist nodded. "Alright, you can go together."

With that, he pushed Lin Kuang and Fan Bingbing forward.

"Stop, I want to go too!" Zhao You stood up, holding his hand in an effeminate pose and speaking in a shrill voice.

"You? Sit down, or I'll blow your brains out!" The terrorist shoved Zhao You back into his seat. Zhao You trembled, his tear-streaked face so pitiful that it gave even the hardened terrorist goosebumps.

Fan Bingbing kept her head down as she walked beside Lin Kuang. She was still reeling from him suddenly kissing and hugging her. Her face was flushed crimson; she had never been so close to a man before, not counting that sissy, Zhao You. Although she knew Lin Kuang was only doing it to help her, she still felt incredibly shy and even a little wronged.

She didn't even know how she'd gotten to the cockpit. Her mind was in a whirl, and before she knew it, they had arrived.

At the front of the cockpit stood more than a dozen terrorists. Facing them were five elderly men—five of the world's ten wealthiest—along with Lin Kuang and Fan Bingbing.

"Major General, this man claims to be Fan Bingbing's fiancé. We brought him along, too," the terrorist next to Lin Kuang reported to the man in charge.

The man addressed as the Major General nodded, his gaze falling upon Lin Kuang to size him up.

"Fan Bingbing's fiancé? Tsk, tsk. As a director of the Business Alliance, her fiancé must be quite an extraordinary person. So how come I've never heard of you?" the Major General asked, a playful look in his eyes. He clearly didn't believe a word of it.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang feigned a slight surprise. The Business Alliance? Fan Bingbing is so young, and she's one of its directors? This revelation shocked him. Others might not have heard of the Business Alliance, but Lin Kuang knew perfectly well that it possessed unparalleled financial power across the globe.

Even Li Jiachen, Carlos, Stephen, Bill, and Bernard—five of the ten richest men in the world—were merely members of the Alliance. For Fan Bingbing to be a director... one could only imagine the wealth and influence she commanded.

Though inwardly shocked, Lin Kuang maintained a calm expression and smiled. "Major General, since you know about the Business Alliance, you must also know about another one of its directors, Lin Jinsheng. I am his son, Lin Kuang. Now, would you say I'm qualified to be Bingbing's fiancé?"

As he spoke, Lin Kuang glanced casually at the Major General, his eyes landing on the man's hand. Tattooed on his palm was a scorpion.

That scorpion. The Black Scorpion mercenaries. It's them! In his line of work, Lin Kuang had dealt with his fair share of mercenaries, and he had certainly heard of the infamous Black Scorpion. They were one of the top ten mercenary groups in the world, led by a commander codenamed 'General', who had three Lieutenant Generals and five Major Generals under his command, each a formidable figure in their own right. Lin Kuang just hadn't expected to run into the Black Scorpion here. This complicated things.

The Major General was visibly taken aback. He didn't actually know how many directors the Business Alliance had, let alone the name Lin Jinsheng. Of course, Lin Kuang was completely bluffing; he had invented the name out of thin air, not even sure if such a person existed. However, since these men were after money, it was a gamble worth taking.

"Oh, Director Lin's son. Not bad. It seems we have some unexpected bonus income this time," the Major General said with a smile, pretending he knew who Lin Jinsheng was.

What an idiot, Lin Kuang thought with contempt. I don't even know if that person exists, so how could he?

Fan Bingbing, Li Jiachen, and the others were also privately amused, as no such person existed in the Business Alliance, but they wisely kept their mouths shut.

"You're too kind. For my woman, no amount of money is too much. When you're rich, you can be willful!" Lin Kuang said with a grin. He looked every bit the part of a carefree scion who feared nothing—an Oscar-worthy performance, though there was no one here to give him an award.

"Alright, enough nonsense," the Major General said, his smile turning icy and sending a chill through the air. "Notify your people to transfer the money to this account, or you will all die. Of course, maybe you're not afraid of death. But I have over a thousand ways to torture you. I'm sure I can find one that suits you."

At his words, the six of them—Li Jiacheng, Carlos, Stephen, Bill, Bernard, and Fan Bingbing—all frowned. Their fortunes were indeed vast, but most of it was in fixed assets, not liquid cash. Besides, they were deeply reluctant to hand over their money so easily, so for a moment, nobody said a word.

"It seems you're not planning to cooperate. In that case, I won't be so polite." The Major General sneered and shot a look at Fan Bingbing. "This woman is quite attractive. Boys, I'll let you have a taste. She might not be a virgin, but she's certainly pretty enough for you." He spoke calmly, as if discussing something utterly trivial.

Hearing this, Fan Bingbing trembled and instinctively clung to Lin Kuang, taking a small step back.

Lin Kuang patted her shoulder and smiled. "Honey, it's okay. I'm here. Don't be afraid."

For some reason, his simple words were incredibly comforting, and the fear in her heart subsided, as if he really could protect her.

Watching two Black Scorpion members approach with lecherous grins, Lin Kuang smiled faintly. "Wait a moment, gentlemen. It's just money you're after, right? My wife and I can give it to you. We only have one request: let us go."

The Major General nodded. "Kid, you're smart. Make the transfer. Here's the bank card; transfer the money to this account." With that, he pulled a card from his pocket, walked over to Lin Kuang, and handed it to him.

Lin Kuang stepped forward with a smile, taking the bank card. "Thank you," he said, still smiling. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity."

As he spoke, he flashed a grin, revealing two rows of perfectly neat teeth. The murderous intent in his eyes was no longer concealed.

Seeing this, the Major General trembled, a profound sense of crisis welling up inside him. He had felt something was off about Lin Kuang, whose performance had been far too calm. But only now, as Lin Kuang truly revealed his fangs, did the Major General realize how badly he had underestimated him.
