Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 The Witch's Scheme

Looking at Liu Shiyu, Lin Kuang beamed. His especially cheerful smile only served to irritate her, and her expression turned foul.

"Drop dead!" Liu Shiyu said viciously. She picked up a soup dumpling and almost threw it, but after a moment's thought, she fiercely stuffed it into her mouth and began eating it in big bites.

Lin Kuang just smiled slightly and lowered his head to continue eating.

After breakfast, Lin Kuang tossed the leftover bag into the trash can, then sat on the sofa, still beaming as he watched TV.

Liu Shiyu was also watching TV, but every time she noticed Lin Kuang taking an interest in a program, she would hurriedly change the channel. What infuriated her most was that Lin Kuang seemed interested in every single show, making Liu Shiyu grind her teeth in frustration.

Hmph, that jerk, that stinking rogue! Where have all my sister's admirers gone? Why has no one come today? Liu Shiyu thought furiously.

If someone had shown up, she could have used the opportunity to teach Lin Kuang a lesson. But strangely, no one came today, which greatly upset the little witch.

About twenty minutes later, as if the heavens had heard the little witch's prayer, a young man in his twenties walked into the living room holding a bouquet of red roses.

Seeing someone arrive, the little witch was overjoyed. But when she saw who it was, she felt a pang of disgust.

She naturally recognized the visitor. The man's name was Han Fei, a member of the powerful Han Family from East Sea. The Han Family held significant status, with connections in both the underworld and the legitimate business world. And this Han Fei, leveraging his family's wealth and power, was a complete playboy.

Liu Shiyu had always despised this man, and she knew Liu Shilin disliked him as well. But there was nothing to be done. Their families' companies had been collaborating lately, and Han Fei often used this as an excuse to visit Liu Shilin, claiming to discuss business when he was actually just there to flirt.

Under normal circumstances, Liu Shiyu couldn't be bothered with him, but today, Lin Kuang was here. In her eyes, neither Lin Kuang nor Han Fei was a good person. If a dog-eat-dog situation were to unfold, she would be delighted.

At that thought, Liu Shiyu's eyes glinted, and she walked toward Han Fei with a smile.

"Young Master Han, looking handsome today, aren't you?" Liu Shiyu said with a grin as she approached him. Two cute dimples appeared on her baby face. That, combined with her spectacular bust, created a mature-yet-innocent look that was a favorite of many men.

Han Fei felt the same. As he watched Liu Shiyu approach, his gaze inadvertently swept over her chest. If possible, I'd love to have a go with both sisters. That would be incredible.

What made Han Fei curious, however, was that this little witch had never paid him any mind before. Why the change of heart today?

Could it be that the little witch has been moved by my sincerity and is planning to put in a good word for me? If so, that would be fantastic.

With that thought, Han Fei put on what he considered a very pure smile. "Shiyu, good morning. You look really beautiful today."

Seeing Han Fei's insincere smile and the lustful glances he kept throwing at her chest, Liu Shiyu wanted nothing more than to slap him twice. Yet, she only entertained the thought. After all, the Han Family's standing in East Sea was considerable, and she wasn't foolish enough to act rashly.

"Young Master Han, your words get sweeter every day. Come, have a seat. My sister is upstairs taking a shower; she'll be down in a bit."

With that, Liu Shiyu led Han Fei over to Lin Kuang, intentionally seating Han Fei right next to him while she sat opposite them.

Han Fei glanced at Lin Kuang, somewhat puzzled, as he hadn't really noticed him until now. Upon closer inspection, he saw Lin Kuang was dressed in casual loungewear, leading him to assume he was part of the Liu household.

"Shiyu, aren't you going to introduce us? Who is this?" Han Fei asked with a smile.

He was certain Lin Kuang wasn't one of the prominent young masters from East Sea. He had met all of them before, and this was his first time seeing Lin Kuang.

"Oh, this is Lin Kuang, a friend of my sister's," Liu Shiyu said with a grin, deliberately stressing the word "friend."

He had assumed Lin Kuang was a member of the Liu Family, but hearing Liu Shiyu's words, it was clear that wasn't the case. Seeing Lin Kuang dressed so casually and being introduced as her sister's "friend" made Han Fei suddenly feel displeased.

"Brother Lin Kuang, did you sleep well here last night? Was everything comfortable?" the little witch asked Lin Kuang with a sweet smile.

"Yeah, it was fine," Lin Kuang replied with a smile of his own.

He naturally saw through Liu Shiyu's intentions. How could he not see through such a simple trick? However, he couldn't be bothered to engage. If this Young Master Han wasn't a complete idiot, he wouldn't fall for it.

But he had overestimated the intelligence of the man beside him. Hearing Liu Shiyu's words, Han Fei shuddered, his eyes wide with disbelief.

This guy stayed here last night? A man and a woman, alone in the same house… Did he sleep with Liu Shilin? As Han Fei thought this, his gaze toward Lin Kuang grew more hostile, a hint of anger simmering beneath the surface.

Seeing Han Fei's expression, the little witch chuckled to herself. This fool is much easier to trick than that scoundrel.

With that thought, she continued sweetly, "Brother Lin Kuang, my sister was complimenting you this morning. She said you were really amazing…"

As she spoke, the little witch quickly covered her mouth, her doll-like face blushing as if she realized she had said something wrong. Han Fei's face instantly turned a ghastly shade of purple.

"Oh dear, Young Master Han, Brother Lin Kuang, please make yourselves comfortable. I'll go get you some drinks."

Saying so, the little witch left with a grin, her heart brimming with joy.

Hmph, you scoundrel. That Han Fei is a very petty man. I'd like to see how you get out of this one. the little witch thought happily as she hid nearby to eavesdrop.

Sure enough, as soon as Liu Shiyu was gone, Han Fei shifted closer to Lin Kuang and said in a low voice, "Kid, what exactly happened last night? Tell me the truth, or I'll make sure you never leave East Sea!"

His voice was quiet but filled with barely suppressed rage. If this weren't Liu Shilin's home, he would have already had his men take care of Lin Kuang.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang frowned and replied with a look of disgust, "Can't you afford toothpaste?"

Han Fei froze, blinking in confusion, not understanding what Lin Kuang meant at first. But a moment later, it dawned on him, and his face became extremely ugly.

"Kid, you're playing with fire, do you know that!" Han Fei snarled, his voice twisted with anger.

Shifting his body away, Lin Kuang said disdainfully, "People who haven't brushed their teeth should keep their distance."
