For many people, it was supposed to be a place filled with nostalgia. A place that brought back happy memories, embarrassing moments from childhood, or perhaps something bittersweet.
Eva had none of those.
Once, the only thing this place stirred in her was resentment.
Later, she simply stopped thinking about it at all.
Christian had gradually filled every corner of her mind.
And now? She thought about it even less.
Only the future she was building with him mattered.
Her desire to spite the parents who had abandoned her had long since faded.
Or at least, she believed it had.
But after she finished informing them about the Infinitel company, the response she received made something stir again.
"Being raised by the Ashvale family… and this is how you repay us?" her father said coldly. "By stabbing us in the back?"
Her mother followed immediately, her tone filled with offended dignity.
"We may not have always been on the best terms, but we are still your parents."
