Although Mera's reasoning didn't have many data points, nor the winding, intricate connections that Kain's had, there was one basic thing she knew and noticed. This was Jamie's estate, directly under the jurisdiction of the Egretta Family. If those weak assassins could easily enter here, the mistress of the estate would have been assassinated countless times by now.
However, those four men weren't actually that weak; they were at least low-class Magus. It was just that compared to the two extraordinary mid-class Magus, Kain and Mera, they were as frail as blades of grass. It would take four mid-class Magus to make the two of them fight seriously.
In short, Jamie was highly suspicious, and the sudden appearance of the guards was too perfectly timed.
Kain had also considered this, but while Mera only felt vaguely uneasy and didn't know what they were planning, Kain had already grasped the cause and effect.
