Chapter 215 - C215 : Royal Capital (4)

In the royal audience hall, the floor was filled with nobles from all over the Re:Estize kingdom. They stood there awaiting their king, prince, and princess. Though, one royal was already in the room, which created an unsettled feeling within the gathered lords.

"Your highness, Prince Barbro, might I ask something?" A man dressed in a tacky outfit, black boots, white shirt & pants, black vest, and a blue jacket. He had blonde hair, and carried himself with the odd boldness that only one who'd married the princess of his nation.

Barbro looked over, failing to hide the brief moment of fear in his eyes as a thought came to his mind. The look was clear, but lasted for a moment. "What is it, Marquis Pespea?" He spoke, and shifted slightly as his throat burned with the pain of his speech.

"Where exactly is the king? We were summoned here for an emergency council, surely it is to speak about matters of war. Yet his majesty is absent, yet here you are, your highness."

"What are you getting at?"

"I'll be frank, brother-in-law, you look more than a little worse for wear, as if you've gone through a terrible fight. Forgive me for suggesting, but what has become of the King?"

"Nothing, these injuries were nothing more than some intense training that I asked for."

"Ahaha, you hear that Marquis Pespea? Enough of your baseless accusations. Or are you attempting to assert a claim to the throne yourself?"

"I serve the king, not any usurper. To usurp the throne from his father would be abandoning his claim to the throne."

"Why you…"

A sound resounded through the hall, and a guard entered the hall. He was clad in the purest of Mythril armor.

"My lords, her highness princess Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiselfner has enters the royal hall!"

The gathered lords bowed, as Renner was escorted to her respective seat, the third place from the king's throne. Next into the hall was the Vice Chief Warrior.

"My lords, his highness prince Zanac Valleon Igana Ryle Vaiself enters the hall!"

The prince Zanac was escorted to the second seat from the throne. Next into the hall, was Gazef.

"My lords, Highnesses! Bow before him, King Ramposa the third, enters the hall!"

Many lords knelt as the king took his rightful place upon the throne.

"Please, be at ease. We have much to go over now." Ramposa announced. "Go ahead, and call him and the girl inside."

"Yes, your majesty." The vice chief bowed, and went for the door. "Now entering the king's presence, Chief of the Village of Carne, and young Nemu of Carne."

The two entered the presence of the king, kneeling down.

"Now then, as you heard, these two hail from the village of Carne, one of the villages ransacked by a bunch of rouge murderous bandits. However, there is something else. Go on, tell the others what you, and Gazef saw there… Who were these bandits really?"

"It's clearly Baharuth's soldiers making attempts to push us into war again while we are unguarded."

"SILENCE!" The King bellowed with a youthful vigor.

"You're majesty, I do not say this lightly, but with the aid of those who came to our aid, in our time of need. It was discovered the bandits hailed from the Slane Theocracy. It was them who killed and tormented the villages. They'd dressed themselves in Baharuth armor, in a ruse to push blame elsewhere."

"And you, girl, is this the truth?"

"Yes, your majesty! Mommy says they're the real bad guys."

"Your majesty… I'm not sure that I want to believe this." A few random lords mentioned in a rather odd way. Though when spoken, it was clear, they knew how strong the Slane Theocracy was.

"I see, forgive me Gazef, but it seems there is little trust in the word of my chief warrior. Was there anyone else who may be able to verify the terrifying words as the truth?"

"There is indeed, your Majesty." He nodded, and the large door opened up as far wide as it could go. "My lords, highnesses, Majesty, I have the honor of introducing the Goddess of Nature herself, Lady Night Silver, and Guardian Mother of the elves, Queen of Tus Nadair, and Lady Mother Nature herself.

"You can't be serious! She's here?" A noble shouted in shock, turning to see it was true, then fell to his knees.

"Pfft, you don't have to be so weak kneed with me child." She spoke, slowly, and gently floating towards the king. "It is true, the Slane Theocracy was responsible for the burning, and pillaging of your people, Ramram."

"If the lady goddess says it, then it is true. We are at war with the Slane Theocracy." Marquis Pespea, and Bloomrush both stated in agreement of the situation. After all, it was practically suicide to debate a deity.

"What need does one have for belief? Gazef saw it with his own eyes. Fortunately, my friends and I were nearby Carne, and thus could save them from their fates." She stretched up to the ceiling, showing off all her goods. "Though, I still had to revive quite a lot of people." Her eyes turned, slightly. "Child, are you perhaps enthralled by my bosom?"

"Huh, I'm not a child."

"No, only children are distracted by a woman's bosom. Are you perhaps hungry?" She continued teasing for a moment. "Anyway, before I support your country, there are two matters of great importance that must be dealt with."

"Good, I, King Ramposa the third, hereby revoke Prince Barbro's inheritance rights to the throne, though he shall remain a noble in title only, set to inherit the title of Marquis once he marries into the Boullope family… I do this for he expressed the greatest disrespect towards our goddess, proving he is unfit, and unwise, thus unworthy to be King."

"Good, now, the next thing, Climb, come here child."

Climb was waved over, and now knelt before Night Silver.

"I am a goddess, I now bestow you with the title of Baron, you are now a Baron of my faith, Baron Climb."

"Is that even a position?"

"Sure it is." Night Silver giggled. "Now he's a noble knight. But, just to make it harder for others to reject my decision." She pricked her finger, and a drop of blood formed. "Open your mouth. And take this blood into yourself, it shall make yours truly that of nobility."
