It was two days before the full moon. The last two days, she remained unbitten since Oliver and Ash visited her regularly. They ensured her safety by taking turns leaving to get their work done. Oliver and Ash worked from home more often until she was pregnant. During her time, she mostly slept. Having lost so much blood, she needed these days to fully replenish her blood supply. They were grateful that they had allowed her to do so.
She was finally well enough and up early enough that she was able to wander the grounds in the daylight.
She wandered into Jeremy's garden.

Then she saw freshly planted violets by the tree Jeremy had cornered her at.
Her flower. The one she was named after. Her mother's favorite.
He planted those for her.
The pathway, bathed in sunlight, shimmered like a rainbow.
