The first few days of the vampires stay was surprisingly going well. Less than a week until the Gala. Less than a week until Odette would be given the title Luna and her identity would be revealed.
Training would begin again. But this time, it would be Artemasia training her, it would be her father doing it.
It had been so long since she and her fathered sparred. She was excited to show him her growth. She was going to go all out for him. There was so much she wanted to show him. Her increase in speed and strength. The way she calculated moves and predicted her opponent. Artemasia was an excellent magic teacher. And with her help Odette had made major improvements in areas she didn't even know she needed. What she could do with air and ice and fire now, how she could handle traps. Artemasia was crafty and it forced Odette to think outside the box in her usual perimeters.
Before leaving her room to fetch her father, she sat next to Phera. She'd missed her fox the last few days.
