Fenja gradually began to relax.
At last, the lingering scent of Cassian had faded from her nose. The taste still remained in her mouth, stubbornly refusing to disappear, but now that she was sitting in the warm bath, it no longer bothered her as much as it had before.
Closing her eyes, she let out a slow breath.
She barely even paid attention to Cassian's hands gently squeezing her breasts anymore. Instead of irritating her, the warmth of the water and the slow massage gradually eased the tension that had built up throughout the night. Almost without realizing it, she allowed herself to lean back a little farther, resting more of her weight against him as her body slowly relaxed.
But the brief moment of peace didn't last long.
Cassian's lips soon found her neck again, trailing slow kisses upward before moving to her ear. Fenja immediately tried to stop him, hunching her shoulders and turning her head to hide one side of her neck.
It accomplished very little.
