Elsa went in to prepare some lunch as Nick and the stranger stood outside, talking. After about some ten minutes, Nick came back in and told her he was going back with Joaquin, to which she nodded in response.
In the afternoon, after taking a nap, Elsa received a phone call from one of her friends, Lisa, inviting her out to lunch at a restaurant.
Lisa was one of the few people Nick allowed Elsa to see. From Nick, Lisa was her best friend before the accident, and even if Nick had not told her that, from the string bond they shared when they met, Elsa could tell they must have been quite close.
It was one and thirty in the afternoon when Elsa parked in front of a huge continental restaurant and after giving the valet her car keys, she made her way inside. Linda had already booked for them a private room, so Elsa headed there immediately.
Upon coming to the door, Elsa heard some noise inside and there seemed to be some other people besides Linda. Sighing, she opened the door and stepped in.
As she had already expected, there were two other people besides Linda, both men in their late twenties per Elsa's calculations.
When the people in the room heard the door open, they shifted their attention there to see who had joined them. And when they saw who was standing before them, their faces drained of blood and turned pale. Standing up, they glanced at Elsa well before turning their heads to Linda, with questioning in their eyes. Linda only gave a gentle smile and her eyes seemed to scream, 'I told you so!'.
Elsa, who was quite uncomfortable with the reactions of the two men when they saw her turned also looked at Linda questionably. Clearing her throat, Linda calmly stood up before introducing the people.
"Els, this is Marcus", she said pointing to the man on her right, and pointing to the one on her left she continued, "and this is Tony".
Waving at them, Elsa also introduced herself uncomfortably before taking a seat.
The gazes of the men in the room never once left Elsa, even after a waiter had come to take their orders.
