Mercy?
Gui Lan seemed to be momentarily taken aback, suddenly remembering that he did possess such an identity.
Then he laughed again.
"Do you think mercy is compassion for all things?" As if hearing something amusing, Gui Lan said, "The Ancient God once bestowed the Pandora's Box upon the world, and you don't even understand this basic knowledge?"
Divine mercy is the greatest misunderstanding people have about gods.
"Even so, that is not an excuse for your favoritism," the thick black mist roared, its eerie face twisting further, "You are unfair! You favor them! I just want to survive!"
Gui Lan looked at him with pity, "You're not wrong, Gods are indeed partial."
The incarnation of mercy is not purely merciful, for divinity, like humanity, is complex and obsessive. Humans are like ants, and gods do not linger their gaze for long.
