In an instant, feelings of self-blame and guilt surged in his heart, causing Ji Yebai to unconsciously let go of Ning Xixi.
When he clearly saw the bruises that he had left on her body, Ji Yebai's eyes darkened, and he cursed himself twice, then he untied the tie that was binding Ning Xixi.
"Sleep," he said briefly, and got out of bed to pick up his shirt and put it on.
"Qiaoqiao's surgery isn't over yet..." Ning Xixi didn't understand why his attitude had changed.
Ji Yebai walked over, and she instinctively shrank back, an action that pained Ji Yebai's eyes.
She was afraid of him.
Damn it!
Why couldn't he control himself?
"Get some sleep, and I'll tell you when the surgery is over," Ji Yebai said quietly, pulling over a blanket to cover Ning Xixi, "Behave, get some rest. You didn't sleep well last night."
Remembering how he had tormented her last night, Ning Xixi pouted in annoyance, "And whose fault do you think it is that I didn't sleep well?"
