He didn't refuse her, not wanting to break Shen Zhuxin's heart again.
She clutched his arm tightly. It was already covered in a mix of angry purple and green bruises. Gently leaving a row of teeth marks on Zhao Dong's shoulder, Shen Zhuxin whispered with teary eyes, "Zhao Dong, I don't ask for much love from you, just remember me... remember that there's a girl whose heart is completely filled with you."
Zhao Dong nodded heavily. A single tear fell from Shen Zhuxin's eye as she snuggled closely against him. His solid frame was her greatest support.
「Finally, an hour later, everything calmed down.」
Shen Zhuxin's face was flushed and her eyes were glazed. She was nearly faint with exhaustion, on the verge of falling asleep. Zhao Dong's heart ached for her.
He gently covered her with the blanket, then quietly left and closed the door. So much had happened that morning; Shen Zhuxin was truly exhausted.
