Though he hasn't made contact with the dark elf matriarch, Bryne has gathered intelligence and information about them from many sources.
If the elves above ground are a race that loves life and beauty, then the dark elves are almost the complete opposite.
Fallen, sinister, mad, debauched, and so on...
These adjectives can all be used to describe dark elves.
Of course, the power of the dark elf race is quite formidable too.
