Chapter 1 - I Transmigrated In this World?

Ten years ago, before I transmigrated into this world, the world had already been chaotic for 300 years because of the game. Billions of human lives were lost, and the game that destroyed this world had gained its own consciousness; even the developer didn't know what was going on. That game is called Reborn of World Fantasy, also known as ROWF.

The sky changed its color; countless monsters poured out from the sky, and numerous humans tried to escape from the grasp of monsters. Although human life was already on the verge of extinction, humans started to awaken, trying to fight back and continuously killing monsters to gain their freedom. After decades of relentless training and costly battles, humanity won, and they began creating an academy to train the new generation. The people who are awakened are called players, and they are required to enter the academy.

Thinking about how I transmigrated into this world, I felt like my head was going crazy just thinking about it. Ten years ago, I was writing, but suddenly I collapsed even though I didn't have any illnesses.

"Group 27, proceed to the next room and wait for your turn." I stood up and followed the group where we were being called.

Right, I came here to be awakened, to become a player.

"Next, your name is Lucas Ferios. Place your palm in the orb and release the mana that you felt within your body."

I placed my hand on the orb; I gathered the mana in my heart; it was warm, flowing through my veins. No, it was flowing everywhere through my muscles, reaching my heart, gathering there in my hand, and I released the mana to the orb. A system noticed when I awakened. After I awakened, I went through the training center where I could see my stats alone.

Name: Lucas Ferios

Although my stats are all F-rank when compared to others, they start at 70 total stats, but mine only have 35. My skill seems promising. I left the Association, and I went to the dungeon to test my skill [Soul Extract] . It's a skill that allows me to increase certain stats randomly depending on the quality of the soul.

I saw a goblin, but since it's my first time hunting a monster, I couldn't resist the disgust of the goblin's looks. After I killed the Goblin, I gained random stats. "Is this how the skill works?"

[Int 2] -> [Int 3]

"The [Int] stats really increase." So if I kill a strong monster, will it be counted as high quality?

After a few hours, I killed numerous goblins. I gained the title [Goblin Slayer] after killing hundreds of them, and all my stats increased randomly, such as my Agi reaching 20 and Luk reaching 20. I'm getting stronger by just killing monsters.

"But... I couldn't bear the disgusting situation," I muttered, thinking of the smell of the goblins I killed.

After I killed those monsters, I sold the mana core that I obtained, and I went to Miami to buy a few pieces of gear just in case.

I went home to rest. On the way, a person tried to recruit me even though I was still a newcomer. I rejected them. It was better to avoid them, as it could affect my dungeon run this time, but maybe in the future I'll find a Guild that suits me, or I'll create my own Guild.

In the early morning, I received a message from the system [B■■■■ st■■■ ■■■ ■■■]. It seems like those words are blurred, but I'll need to figure out what the system means by this message, and I need to know why I was transmigrated into this world.

I went to Miami to buy a dagger and equipment that could protect my body from strong monsters. When I went inside the dungeon, it seemed the inside had a different environment, like a cave, a volcano, a cold area, a savanna, an ocean, a forest, and a death valley.

But the monsters are huge and almost triple the size of humans. The monsters are tough and impossible to pierce with normal weapons; that's why I bought this skill [Thrust leap].

This skill seems difficult to control, but this skill might be handy (damage increases by 15% and ignores 30% defense).

I tested my skill, but it consumed all my mana at once. I thought I needed to increase my [Int] to increase the capacity of mana [Mp 36/75], and it looked like I could use it only once; however, my mana recovery only recovered 3.6 per 5 sec. I killed those monsters to increase all my stats and gain skills.

When I was walking, I accidentally walked into a horde of goblins I couldn't even count. After a few hours, I gained another title, [Goblin Slayer 2], after I killed thousands of goblins. It seems the titles are upgradeable if I keep killing those goblins. I left the dungeon and noticed it was already dark. I didn't notice it; I need to rest my body anyway.

Recently, I was fighting with tremendous force. That was how I gained the skill [Force strike], which increased the damage by 20% and crit damage by 40%.

"What should I do with this mana core?" I thought I should come back tomorrow and sell these mana cores.

Sigh. It's so tiring. I went home, and I passed by the store for a moment to buy food. After reaching home, another recruiter asked me to join their guild, although I don't want to join right now. The contract seems promising, but I still rejected them.

I went to the Training Center to test myself and train for a few moments there. I met fellow awakeners and constant mocking behind my back; those people kept bothering me, and it was annoying. I wanted to fight, but they seemed stronger than me. It's better to avoid them. I left them behind and let them talk behind my back, and I don't care about them.

I went to Miami and bought the skill [Fireball]. It consumed 20 mana, dealing damage to an enemy equal to 50% of my [Int] stat and scorching the enemy for 10% to 50% of my total [Int] stat.

[Wind blade] consumed 15 mana, dealing damage to an enemy equal to 30% of my [Str], [Dex], and [Agi] stats.

Since I had been killing those monsters, my level increased by 20. My level stopped increasing after surpassing level 20 because of the level gap between the goblins and me, making me unable to level up further.

"System," I mumbled.

Maybe I should distribute the stats to [Str] by 20, [Int] by 40, and [Wis] by 20.

I should go to the dungeon called Savane. I went inside, but why were there a lot of awakeners here? I thought it was an abandoned dungeon since there were no drops from the monsters. Instead of a wasteland, all I could see was a bustling trading plaza inside.
