"Peter, you need to check this. It seems that some of the technology we're developing in collaboration with Wayne Enterprises has been stolen."
The woman speaking wore an elegant secretary outfit that suited her striking features perfectly. A traditional white blouse peeked out from beneath a fitted black blazer, a few buttons daringly undone to reveal a sensual glimpse of her ample cleavage.
Her vibrant red hair was styled professionally, though a few strands had escaped and brushed attractively against her face.
Her makeup was simple, yet enhanced by bold lipstick and eyeshadow that complemented her skin tone beautifully.
This was Jessica—Peter's secretary—and it appeared she hadn't changed much, even though it had been two months since the Lords of Justice incident.
There had been a few problems in the streets, but as always, Spider-Man handled them. Nothing major had happened lately—the situation was unusually calm.
Peter, seated behind his desk at his company, looked up at Jessica.
"Really? Which branch did this happen in?"
Lately, he hadn't heard of any criminals using advanced tech, nor had there been any significant thefts.
"It was the Gotham branch," Jessica replied, clearly annoyed. This didn't seem like the first time such an incident had occurred.
Peter sighed.
"Alright, just forward it to Wayne Enterprises. I'm sure they'll take care of it, as usual."
Jessica nodded.
"I'll do that."
She hesitated for a moment before adding,
"Listen, Peter… are we still on for dinner tomorrow?"
Peter looked at Jessica, his mind drifting through memories of the past two months.
His relationship with Jessica had grown closer, mainly because he decided to focus more on understanding his company from the inside—to avoid bankruptcy, like in the past.
Financial troubles had haunted him before, but this time, he was determined to keep the company he inherited from his counterpart alive—along with his family's legacy.
Speaking of family, Peter still hadn't contacted Susan in this dimension—his sister here.
Anyway, due to his commitment to learning the company's inner workings, Jessica had been constantly by his side. Though it was problematic having to hide his ignorance about his own company, that didn't stop him from growing closer to her—reminiscent of memories from another version of himself.
And while Peter still didn't understand the full nature of his connection with Nubia—whom he hadn't seen in about two and a half months, supposedly on a mission in Themyscira—he'd noticed Diana growing closer to him. But she hadn't said anything outright, despite being the bold type.
That's what pushed Peter to take the first step and ask Jessica out.
I mean, who could resist a woman as beautiful and gentle as her?
Peter smiled at Jessica, making her blush.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Jessica."
The promise might've seemed silly, considering Peter was infamous for missing or being late to dates due to his responsibilities as Spider-Man and the secrecy of his identity.
Some might argue that if women knew the truth about his identity and duties, they would understand.
But unfortunately, that's rarely the case. Mary Jane Watson was proof of that.
Peter added,
"I'll pick you up from your place tomorrow at 8 PM. Deal?"
Jessica nodded enthusiastically and quickly left the office, trying to hide the redness in her face.
There was something no one knew about Jessica: her obsession with the color red… and her childhood friend, whose first suit just happened to be 85% red.
Jessica moved gracefully, her high heels clicking against the office floor. Peter couldn't help but watch her breasts and hips bounce in perfect rhythm—eyes widening at the sight.
Judging by her figure, her butt should've been firm—but from what Peter saw, it looked soft. Very soft. He had noticed long ago that the skin on her legs was tight, indicating little to no excess fat.
That was Peter's analysis—his silly imagination didn't snap back to reality until Jessica shut the door behind her.
He leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling.
"What's wrong with me lately? Am I becoming a perv?"
Just then, his wrist device lit up with a green glow.
Peter tapped it, revealing a holographic interface with Karen's familiar voice.
In truth, it wasn't just a watch—it was his web-shooter disguised as a Rolex, housing Karen's AI.
"What is it, Karen?"
"Message from the Tower. Martian Manhunter is requesting your presence at the Hall of Justice—for Young Justice Day."
Peter raised a brow.
"Excuse me? I haven't been keeping up with what's going on at the Tower. Catch me up, dear—keep it short."
"Of course. A group of young heroes started feeling like they could handle missions on their own—that they no longer needed mentors and were ready to join the major leagues."
"Batman came up with the idea of forming a team of young sidekicks—mainly to calm them down and, at the same time, give them some real experience."
Peter looked at the hologram.
"Of course Bruce would come up with something like that—redirect the kids' energy into something productive."
He sighed.
"Anyway… Karen, suit up."
As soon as Peter said that, the device lit up and spread from his wrist to his palm, covering him in red on the outside and black underneath.
It coated his entire arm—red outside, black inside—and continued across his body. A red mask covered his face with black eyes.
The suit was completed with a large white spider emblem on his chest—and a red one on his back.

Peter looked at himself, feeling the enhanced strength and protection his new suit provided.
He opened the window, causing papers to scatter around the office.
"Jessica's going to hate this."
He leapt out, closing the window behind him.
Free-falling through the air, he swung from one building to another—grabbing a metal pole atop a skyscraper, spinning around it, and launching himself high into
the sky while shouting:
"Wooooooooohooooooooooooooo!"
